Overview
• State Government support for the next 3 years 2017/18 to 2019/20
• Incorporates the Regional Talent Development Network and the
Regional Athlete Travel Subsidy
• Both programs work best in collaboration with State Sporting
Association athlete, coach and official talent pathways

Regional Talent Development Network
• Academies and Networks in 9 regions
• Three years of state government support 2018 -2020 calendar year
• Support a quality training environment for athletes in conjunction
with SSAs
• Access to accredited SSA endorsed coaching and non sport specialist
services
• Support participation in high level competition

3. South West Academy of Sport
• 3 partner sports – hockey, AFL & netball
• Individual scholarships
• Over 70 athletes
• Many life skill and non-sport skill services inc Developing Champions
• Athletes from 12 local government areas
