I am writing this reference at the request of Rizwan Syed who is applying for a GTA position in your
department.
Rizwan has worked at the Programming and Networking lab in the Computer Information Systems
department. I teach introduction to programming classes and I have had the opportunity to interact
with Rizwan several times in the past 6 months. His responsibilities at the lab include opening the labs
on time for students and perform occasional hardware and software troubleshooting on the computers.
Rizwan has demonstrated diligence in his work. He was eager to learn new things and always did it with
a positive attitude. His past education and experience at the lab makes him a deserving candidate for
this position.
