23. A letter from Heaven
My Dearest Family, but remember there would be no flowers,
Some things I'd like to say unless there was some rain.
but first of all to let you know I wish that I could tell you
that I arrived okay. of all that God has planned,
I'm writing this from Heaven but if I were to tell you,
where I dwell with God above you wouldn't understand.
where there are no more tears or But one thing is for certain,
sadness, there is just eternal love. though my life on Earth is o'er.
Please do not be unhappy I am closer to you now
just because I'm out of sight, than I ever was before.
remember that I'm with you And to my very many friends,
every morning, noon and night. trust God knows what is best.
That day I had to leave you I'm still not far away from you;
when my life on Earth was through, I'm just beyond the crest.
God picked me up and hugged me If you can help somebody
and He said "I welcome you. who is in sorrow or in pain,
Then God gave me a list of things then you can say to God at night
He wished for me to do, my day was not in vain.
and foremost on that list of mine And now I am contented
is to watch and care for you. that my life it was worthwhile,
When you think of my life on Earth knowing as I passed along the way
and all those loving years, I made somebody smile.
because you're only human When you are walking
they are bound to bring you tears. down the street
But do not be afraid to cry, and you've got me on your mind,
it does relieve the pain, I'm walking in your footsteps
only half a step behind.
