Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

3. Don't Be Cruel ========================= by: Otis Blackwell - Elvis Presley ========================= You know I can be found, sitting home all alone, If you can't come around, at least please telephone. Don't be cruel to a heart that's true. Baby, if I made you mad for something I might have said, Please, let's forget the past, the future looks bright ahead, Don't be cruel to a heart that's true. I don't want no other love, Baby it's just you I'm thinking of. Don't stop thinking of me, don't make me feel this way, Come on over here and love me, you know what I want you to say. Don't be cruel to a heart that's true. Why should we be apart? I really love you baby, cross my heart. Let's walk up to the preacher and let us say I do, Then you'll know you'll have me, and I'll know that I'll have you, Don't be cruel to a heart that's true. I don't want no other love, Baby it's just you I'm thinking of. Don't be cruel to a heart that's true. Don't be cruel to a heart that's true. I don't want no other love, Baby it's just you I'm thinking of.
4. RETURN TO SENDER ========================= by: Otis Blackwell - Winfield Scott ========================= Return to sender Return to sender I gave a letter to the postman, he put it his sack. But in early next morning, he brought my letter back. She wrote upon it: Return to sender, address unknown. No such number, no such zone. We had a quarrel, a lover's spat I write I'm sorry but my letter keeps coming back. So then I dropped it in the mailbox And sent it special D. But in early next morning it came right back to me. She wrote upon it: Return to sender, address unknown. No such number, no such zone. This time I'm gonna take it myself and put it right in her hand. And if it comes back the very next day then I'll understand the writing on it Return to sender, address unknown. No such person, no such zone. Return to sender, Return to sender Return to sender, Return to sender
5. KING CREOLE ========================= by: Jerry Leiber - Mike Stoller ========================= King Creole go There's a man in New Orleans Who plays rock and roll He's a guitar man With a great big soul He lays down a beat Like a ton of coal He goes by the name of King Creole You know he's gone, gone, gone Jumpin' like a catfish on a pole You know he's gone, gone, gone Hip shaking King Creole When the king starts to do it It's as good as done He holds his guitar like a tommy gun He starts to growl From way down his throat He bends a string And "that's all she wrote" You know he's gone, gone, gone Jumpin' like a catfish on a pole You know he's gone, gone, gone Hip shaking King Creole Well, he sings a song about a crowded hole He sings a song about a jelly roll He sings a song about meat and greens He wails some blues about New Orleans You know he's gone, gone, gone Jumpin' like a catfish on a pole You know he's gone, gone, gone Hip shaking King Creole Well, he plays something evil Then he plays something sweet No matter what he plays You got to get up on your feet When he gets the rockin' fever baby, heaven sakes He don't stop playin' 'Till his guitar breaks You know he's gone, gone, gone Jumpin' like a catfish on a pole You know he's gone, gone, gone Hip shaking King Creole You know he's gone, gone, gone Hip shaking King Creole
6. LOVE ME TENDER ========================= by: Vera Matson - Elvis Presley ========================= Love me tender, love me sweet, never let me go. You have made my life complete, and I love you so. Love me tender, love me true, all my dreams fulfilled. For my darlin' I love you, and I always will. Love me tender, love me long, take me to your heart. For it's there that I belong, and we'll never part. Love me tender, love me true, all my dreams fulfilled. For my darlin' I love you, and I always will. Love me tender, love me dear, tell me you are mine. I'll be yours through all the years, till the end of time. Love me tender, love me true, all my dreams fulfilled. For my darlin' I love you, and I always will.
7. Are You Lonesome Tonight? ================================= by: Roy Turk and Lou Handman ================================= Are you lonesome tonight, do you miss me tonight? Are you sorry we drifted apart? Does your memory stay to a brighter sunny day When I kissed you and called you sweetheart? Do the chairs in your parlor seem empty and bare? Do you gaze at your doorstep and picture me there? Is your heart filled with pain, shall I come back again? Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight? I wonder if you're lonesome tonight You know someone said that the world's a stage And each must play a part. Fate had me playing in love you as my sweet heart. Act one was when we met, I loved you at first glance You read your line so cleverly and never missed a cue Then came act two, you seemed to change and you acted strange And why I'll never know. Honey, you lied when you said you loved me And I had no cause to doubt you. But I'd rather go on hearing your lies Than go on living without you. Now the stage is bare and I'm standing there With emptiness all around And if you won't come back to me Then make them bring the curtain down. Is your heart filled with pain, shall I come back again? Tell me dear, are you lonesome tonight?
8. Crying in the Chapel ========================= by: Arthur Glenn ========================= You saw me crying in the chapel. The tears I shed were tears of joy I know the meaning of contentment Now I am happy with the Lord Just a plain and simple chapel Where humble people go to pray I pray the Lord that I'll grow stronger As I live from day to day I've searched and I've searched But I couldn't find No way on earth To gain peace of mind Now I'm happy in the chapel Where people are of one accord Yes we gather in the chapel Just to sing and praise the Lord You'll search and you'll search But you'll never find No way on earth To gain peace of mind Take your troubles to the chapel Get down on your knees and pray Your burdens will be lighter And you'll surely find the way
9. You'll Never Walk Alone ========================= by: Oscar Hammerstein II - Richard Rogers ========================= When you walk through a storm hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of a storm is a golden sky And the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone, You'll never, ever walk alone. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone, You'll never, ever walk alone. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone, You'll never, ever walk alone.
10. ONE NIGHT ============================ By: D. Bartholomew - P. King Recorded: ============================ One night with you Is what I'm now praying for The things that we two could plan Would make my dreams come true Just call my name And I'll be right by your side I want your sweet helping hand My loves too strong to hide Always lived, very quiet life I ain't never did no wrong Now I know that life without you Has been too lonely too long One night with you Is what I'm now praying for The things that we two could plan Would make my dreams come true Always lived, very quiet life I ain't never did no wrong Now I know that life without you Has been too lonely too long One night with you Is what I'm now praying for The things that we two could plan Would make my dreams come true
11. MY WAY ========================= by: Anka - Francois - Revaux ========================= And now the end is near So I face the final curtain My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case of which I'm certain I've lived a life that's full I've traveled each and every highway And more, much more than this I did it my way Regrets, I've had a few But then again, too few to mention I did what I had to do And saw it through without exception I planned each charted course Each careful step along the byway Oh, and more, much more than this I did it my way For what is a man, what has he got If not himself, then he has not To say the words he truly feels And not the words he would reveal The record shows I took the blows And did it my way The record shows I took the blows And did it my way
