This document contains brief descriptions of four photos taken by Annie Liebovitz between 1980-2006. The first was of Pete Townshend from The Who in 1980. In 1981 she photographed John Lennon and Yoko Ono to represent their Double Fantasy album, which became iconic as it was the last photo of Lennon before he was killed. Her 1984 photo of Bruce Springsteen was used for the cover of his Born In The USA album.
The cytoskeleton is found only in animal cells and maintains cell shape and moves organelles internally. It is composed of actin filaments, intermediate filaments, and microtubules. Actin filaments support the cell membrane and are involved in cell division. Intermediate filaments provide structural support. Microtubules originate from the centrosome and are involved in cellular motion. The cytoskeleton receives proteins from ribosomes and provides structural support to the nucleus and transports mitochondria and other organelles.
ACP Migration-Capacity Building Strategy Presentation-CGreenidgeChanzo Osei Greenidge
This document outlines the methodology for assessing capacity related to migration and development in Haiti and Trinidad and Tobago. 2) The methodology used which included questionnaires, interviews, country visits and secondary research to profile diaspora demographics and ICT projects in countries like Jamaica, Haiti, Guyana and the Dominican Republic.
3) Opportunities and best practices identified, such as rural/diaspora partnerships, e-commerce, and knowledge mobility management between diaspora and their home countries.
The document summarizes different ways that the reader may be fortunate compared to others around the world. It notes that if the reader has never experienced war, hunger, or imprisonment, they are luckier than 500 million people. It also states that if one's basic needs are covered, they are richer than 75% of the world, and if they have savings, they are part of the top 10% most prosperous. The document encourages appreciating what you have, as many cannot read or have someone to hold.
This document contains questions about glaciers, how they form and move, how scientists measure them, and their effects on the surrounding environment through weathering, erosion, and landscape formation. It asks the reader to name ways glaciers can be measured, explain how they cause weathering and erosion, identify areas shaped by past glaciers, and describe what occurs when glaciers melt, including providing examples.

Cure Brain Cancer Foundation raised nearly $750,000 in third-party mass participation events over three years through growing their peer-to-peer fundraising program. They achieved this by investing in their peer-to-peer strategy, equipping over 1,000 individual fundraisers with tools to ask for sponsorship, and creating an engaging supporter journey. Specifically, they raised $280,000 from Run Melbourne in 2014 through targeted outreach, incentives for runners, and fostering a sense of community among their fundraising team. The document provides best practices for acquiring, activating, and stewarding fundraisers to maximize fundraising success in multi-charity events.

This document contains code for implementing depth first search (DFS) and breadth first search (BFS) algorithms on graphs. The DFS code uses a stack to search the graph in a depthward manner by recursively exploring each branch as deep as possible before backtracking. The BFS code uses a queue to search the graph in a breadthward manner by exploring all neighboring nodes first before moving to the next level. Both algorithms mark visited nodes to avoid cycles and search the entire graph by recursively calling the function on unvisited nodes.

5th LF Energy Power Grid Model Meet-up SlidesDanBrown980551
5th Power Grid Model Meet-up
It is with great pleasure that we extend to you an invitation to the 5th Power Grid Model Meet-up, scheduled for 6th June 2024. This event will adopt a hybrid format, allowing participants to join us either through an online Mircosoft Teams session or in person at TU/e located at Den Dolech 2, Eindhoven, Netherlands. The meet-up will be hosted by Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), a research university specializing in engineering science & technology.
Power Grid Model
The global energy transition is placing new and unprecedented demands on Distribution System Operators (DSOs). Alongside upgrades to grid capacity, processes such as digitization, capacity optimization, and congestion management are becoming vital for delivering reliable services.
Power Grid Model is an open source project from Linux Foundation Energy and provides a calculation engine that is increasingly essential for DSOs. It offers a standards-based foundation enabling real-time power systems analysis, simulations of electrical power grids, and sophisticated what-if analysis. In addition, it enables in-depth studies and analysis of the electrical power grid’s behavior and performance. This comprehensive model incorporates essential factors such as power generation capacity, electrical losses, voltage levels, power flows, and system stability.
Power Grid Model is currently being applied in a wide variety of use cases, including grid planning, expansion, reliability, and congestion studies. It can also help in analyzing the impact of renewable energy integration, assessing the effects of disturbances or faults, and developing strategies for grid control and optimization.
What to expect
For the upcoming meetup we are organizing, we have an exciting lineup of activities planned:
-Insightful presentations covering two practical applications of the Power Grid Model.
-An update on the latest advancements in Power Grid -Model technology during the first and second quarters of 2024.
-An interactive brainstorming session to discuss and propose new feature requests.
-An opportunity to connect with fellow Power Grid Model enthusiasts and users.
HCL Notes und Domino Lizenzkostenreduzierung in der Welt von DLAUpanagenda
Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/hcl-notes-und-domino-lizenzkostenreduzierung-in-der-welt-von-dlau/
