Stacii Johnson served as Director of Special Events for the Mayor of Atlanta for three years. She secured major events for the city like tennis and equestrian events as well as the Soul Train Awards that increased Atlanta's national and international visibility. She also managed movie, video and television productions filmed in Atlanta by facilitating their work with various city departments. Additionally, Stacii led efforts to create the city's first Office of Entertainment, including managing relationships during the legislation drafting process. The Mayor commends Stacii as a strong leader who accomplished goals within budget and was an asset to the City of Atlanta.

Stacii Johnson served as a member of my Senior Leadership Team. In her leadership role as Director of
Special Events, she cultivated and secured new opportunities and partnerships that increased the City of
Atlanta's visibility both nationally and internationally.
During her three-year tenure with the Mayor's Office, Stacii procured and managed notable events such
as The Atlanta Tennis Championship, Cavalia's equestrian show "Odyesso", the 2011 Soul Train Awards
and The White House Summit on Entrepreneurship. In addition to her work with Special Events, Stacii
served as the point of contact for major motion picture studios that chose Atlanta to shoot movies, videos
and other filmed entertainment, as well as managed the filming logistics for numerous production
companies. Stacii facilitated the production companies' interaction with key City of Atlanta departments,
including the Mayor's Office, the Department of Communications, Public Safety and Public Works.
Stacii led the city's efforts to develop, review and edit the legislation creating the City of Atlanta's first
Office of Entertainment. Additionally, Stacii managed relationships between the City of Atlanta, leading
Atlanta law firms and state agencies during the drafting of the legislation.
Stacii is a strong leader and is highly creative. She is a solutions-oriented individual with a zeal for
excellence. She realizes the importance of accomplishing departmental and City-wide goals, while
adhering to a strict budget.
It was a privilege to have Stacii Johnson serve on my Senior Leadership Team. She was an invaluable
asset to the City of Atlanta, and r am sure she will strengthen any company, organization or new venture
she leads.
