Evidence of Experience
Scoping, Planning and Implementation of Corporate Performance management Tool (Tagetik) – Group –
2014/2015
Acting as Project Manager for this $1m project. Developing the scope to ensure it is aligned with business and external
mandatory requirements fully meeting the needs of our internal customers.
Delivering a full investment proposal including submissions by third party providers and estimated costs to gain approval
from the Executive Committee.
Carry out all project initiation activities in line with Group methodology to ensure successful delivery of end product and
ability to realize benefits fully.
Design and Implementation of Group Transformational Program – Group – 2014/2015/2016
Fully scope requirements based on mandate. Program Manage planning for a suite of activities that would see the re-
engineering and therefore transformation of the business in three phases.
Phase one – mapping of current ‘as is’ processes.
Phase two – engagement of Price Waterhouse Coopers with mapping of world class ‘to be’ processes and Microsoft
centre of excellence team to design solutions blueprint.
Phase three – implementation of suite of projects to achieve optimized performance levels by embedding ‘to be’
processes through automation enhancements and training.
Implementation of Group Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system – Global – 2014
Acted as project manager for this $2.5m investment that would allow the business to implement an ERP platform enabling
the future optimization of a single platform.
Full planning including extensive communication plans to drive understanding of the benefits and requirements needed
from the business and reducing IT involvement outside of their remit.
Early stakeholder engagement and creation of strong internal and external relationships to encourage and ensure
success. Challenges included bridging the gap between technical and non technical team members and required careful
leadership, management and team building strategy.
Identification and engagement of external consultancy resource as required to mitigate identified delay risks.
Strong risk management method embedded in project team to ensure risks were identified and managed before they
became issues.
Successfully implementing this ERP has provided access to a suite of ‘bolt ons’ applications that will allow us to build
extensive improvements into our data management and analysis moving forward.
Risk Management and Project Management Methodologies – 2013 ongoing – Global reach
To assist in the delivery of projects across the Group I developed materials that would allow managers and supervisors to
embed the project management methodology based on MSP and PRINCE2 practices.
In addition Risk management methodologies are currently following the same route using some key templates I developed
following qualifying as an M_o_R Practitioner.
Fuels Loss Prevention Programme - 2012 ongoing– Global reach
Identifying, recommending and implementing new loss prevention technologies for our Fuels Division. This was a
customer requirement as well as part of our internal continuous improvement program.
Various technologies were considered through internal and external consulting resulting in a Group commitment of $5
over a number of projects.
The projects themselves then required implementation of the PM methodology to ensure full benefits could be realized.
A loss prevention committee was established with full governance.
Design, Build and Operation of Water Bottling Plant – 2010 – Kandahar Air Base, Afghanistan
This project was the first of its kind for Supreme and was to design, build and run a state of the art water bottling facility on
Kandahar Air Base in Afghanistan. This was a 26million Euro project that required the sourcing, purchase and logistic
arrangement for the best technology in existence. Supreme had 120 days to complete this project, from design to ‘go
live’.
There was extensive external and internal stakeholder engagement required due to the nature of the site. This included
setting up steering groups that could identify any potential risk and identify mitigation measures.
The site for the build had to be moved three times due to changing security situation.
In addition I was responsible for ensuring the creation of industry aligned job descriptions that would allow us to recruit
specialised staff who were prepared to work in such an austere environment.
