2. Un grup d’ex-estudiants, ja molt endinsats en les seves carreres, es van reunir per visitar al seu vell professor de la universitat. Una vegada a casa del mestre, la conversa es va concentrar sobre queixes sobre l’estrés del treball i també de la vida.
3. Al oferir-los-hi cafè, el professor va anar a la cuina i va tornar amb un termo de cafè i una varietat de tasses de porcellana , plàstic , vidre , algunes més senzilles, algunes exquisites… Els va demanar que se servissin el cafè calent.
4. Quan tots el estudiants tenien la seva tassa a la ma el professor els va dir: “ Si us hi heu fixat, totes les tasses boniques i cares són les que heu agafat, deixant de banda les més senzilles i barates.” “ Encara que és normal, que volgueu només el millor per a vosaltres, aquest és l’origen dels vostres problemes i estrés …”
5. El que en realitat volíeu era el cafè … no la tassa... però conscientment heu agafat les millors tasses i les heu estat comparant amb les tasses dels altres.
6. “ Fixeuvos-hi bé – va seguir- : La Vida és el cafè, però les vostres feines, els diners, i també la vostra posició social són les tasses. Les tasses només són eines per sostenir i contenir la Vida , però la qualitat de la Vida , no canvia.
7. A vegades –va concloure- al concentar-nos només en la tassa… deixem de gaudir del cafè que hi ha a dins. Per tant, no deixis que la tassa et guii…
