This document discusses a joint project between CIBIO research center and Serralves Foundation to promote scientific literacy through biodiversity outreach projects in the Serralves park. The 18-hectare park contains formal gardens, rural areas, and naturalized spaces. The project aims to engage over 130 researchers and 100 students to develop communication activities like seminars, documentary films, and a citizen science web project to educate diverse audiences about genetics, ecology, and landscape architecture. The activities both engage the scientists and give back to society.
