7. INSTALLATION & APPLICATION
7.1 GENERAL
1- Avoid installing the compressor in apparatus using refrigerants containing chlorine, Such as R12, R22, R502,
etc. Don't use filling devices that have been used for CFC or HCFC refrigerants before when filling the
refrigerant.
2- Don't use cleaning agents containing chlorine for cleaning circuits. Make sure that there is no residual chlorine
left if they have to be used. Special attention: The content of chlorine related substances in refrigerating
systems must be below 100ppm of the total refrigerant gas filled.
3- Use specified drying filters for HFC-134a only. Install the filters right after the sealing package is opened.
4- Tubing used in systems must be clean and free from residual oil left from the manufacturing process.
7.2 VACUUM
For building vacuum in the system the pumping should be made from both high and low pressure sides. The
vacuum should be below 0.35 mmHg.
7.3 REFRIGERANT
Refrigerant charging must be from the high pressure end (condenser side)
7.4 RUBBER PLUGS
The compressors are filled with high purity Nitrogen at 0.01 to 0.05 Mpa (Gage pressure) at the factory and the
tubes are sealed with rubber plugs and thermal shrinking plastic tubes. The plug in discharge tube should be
removed first to prevent oil from bursting out.
7.5 IMPURITY
No soldering agent, dusts, or other substances are allowed to get into the system when soldering the compressor
to tubing. Solder material should be low melting temperature to avoid oxidization on tunings.
QX1401VD Compressor Specification
7.6 COMPRESSOR MOUNTING
Use the rubber grommets from factory. Tilting angle should be not more than 5°
7.7 COMPRESSOR OPERATION
Compressor mustn’t be started until they are installed into system with refrigerant fulfilled. No running should be
made when compressors are open to air. Allow for min. 3 minutes for internal pressure to be balanced between 2
starting.
7.8 TUBE CLEANING
Clean tubing in order to prevent metal chips, fibers and impurities from the system when installing compressors.
Install a 100 mesh metal filter in the tubing.
7.9 REFRIGERATION OIL
Refrigeration oil RL-32H,150TD or equivalent performance oil with HFC-134a is used for high reliability. R134a
has excellent thermal stability and wear resistance. Other oil is NOT allowed to be added into system.
7.10 REFRIGERANT
Use high-purity HFC-134a (above 99.9%, or above 99.95% if possible) .
7.11 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1- Compressors should be installed into refrigeration circuits within a year after they are manufactured.
2- Install compressors into refrigeration circuits within 30 minutes after breaking sealing to prevent moisture from
getting into the compressors.
3- Never pump vacuum in compressors alone.
4- Never make idle runs on compressors.
5- Do not power up compressors under vacuum conditions.
6- Avoid crash or any impact when compressor in installed.
7- Compressor should be stored with good ventilation, free from the existence of corrosive gas. Do not store
compressor at the same location for corrosive stuffs containing acid or alkaline. Relative humidity should be
lower than 80%.

16. OPERATION INSTRUCTION
6.1 Analog speed control is default speed control mode. The mode can be temporarily changed
thru communication software provided, but the changed mode can NOT be stored in the product.
6.2 Under the communication control mode, the user can control the compressor speed thru
setting-up “Control Instruction” and “Speed Setup”. The communication protocol is MODBUS RTU.
6.3 Under analog speed control mode, the higher corresponding speed will have priority among
analog voltage, potentiometer and PWM.
1- Analog Voltage Mode - the relation between the voltage and the speed are linear relation: 0V-0.5V, compressor
stops. ≥0.7V, compressor starts to run. 0.7V-5V, corresponding speed is 2000rpm - 6000rpm
2- PWM Mode - the frequency and the speed is linear relationship: 300-500Hz, compressor stop. 1000Hz,
compressor starts to run.1000-10000Hz, corresponding speed is 2000rpm – 6000rpm.
3-Potentiometer Mode – 50KΩ, compressor stops. 30KΩ-0KΩ, corresponding speed is 2000rpm – 6000rpm.

INSTALLATION & APPLICATION 7.1 GENERAL 1- Avoid installing the compressor in apparatus using refrigerants containing chlorine, Such as R12, R22, R502, etc. Don't use filling devices that have been used for CFC or HCFC refrigerants before when filling the refrigerant. 2- Don't use cleaning agents containing chlorine for cleaning circuits. Make sure that there is no residual chlorine left if they have to be used. Special attention: The content of chlorine related substances in refrigerating systems must be below 100ppm of the total refrigerant gas filled. 3- Use specified drying filters for HFC-134a only. Install the filters right after the sealing package is opened. 4- Tubing used in systems must be clean and free from residual oil left from the manufacturing process. 7.2 VACUUM For building vacuum in the system the pumping should be made from both high and low pressure sides. The vacuum should be below 0.35 mmHg. 7.3 REFRIGERANT Refrigerant charging must be from the high pressure end (condenser side) 7.4 RUBBER PLUGS The compressors are filled with high purity Nitrogen at 0.01 to 0.05 Mpa (Gage pressure) at the factory and the tubes are sealed with rubber plugs and thermal shrinking plastic tubes. The plug in discharge tube should be removed first to prevent oil from bursting out. 7.5 IMPURITY No soldering agent, dusts, or other substances are allowed to get into the system when soldering the compressor to tubing. Solder material should be low melting temperature to avoid oxidization on tunings.
  • 7. QX1401VD Compressor Specification 7.6 COMPRESSOR MOUNTING Use the rubber grommets from factory. Tilting angle should be not more than 5° 7.7 COMPRESSOR OPERATION Compressor mustn’t be started until they are installed into system with refrigerant fulfilled. No running should be made when compressors are open to air. Allow for min. 3 minutes for internal pressure to be balanced between 2 starting. 7.8 TUBE CLEANING Clean tubing in order to prevent metal chips, fibers and impurities from the system when installing compressors. Install a 100 mesh metal filter in the tubing. 7.9 REFRIGERATION OIL Refrigeration oil RL-32H,150TD or equivalent performance oil with HFC-134a is used for high reliability. R134a has excellent thermal stability and wear resistance. Other oil is NOT allowed to be added into system. 7.10 REFRIGERANT Use high-purity HFC-134a (above 99.9%, or above 99.95% if possible) . 7.11 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1- Compressors should be installed into refrigeration circuits within a year after they are manufactured. 2- Install compressors into refrigeration circuits within 30 minutes after breaking sealing to prevent moisture from getting into the compressors. Do not store compressor at the same location for corrosive stuffs containing acid or alkaline. Relative humidity should be lower than 80%.
