QME Elements
QME Elements are modular units with an advanced
geometry that combines high performance with an
     adaptable design.

QME Elements have a long track record and are well suited
to berths and terminals handling all vessel sizes. Vertical or

horizontal mounting of elements ensures optimum energy and
     low reaction.

Elements can be used in arrays with steel panels, or in pairs
with UHMW-PE shields as V-fenders. A small footprint makes
QME Elements perfect where fixing area is restricted.

  • 7. Flat Pack Ports Engineered QuayQuip PEM’s Flat Pack Port (FPP) concept solves construc on issues for remote loca ons, build speed and available cranage. The en re fender, mooring, deck and jacket structures are modularised. They can be factory assembled and checked before shipment, containerised and despatched to site in the most convenient and manageable m packages. Fixed Range On site work is minimised to placing piles, rapid assembly of .co the flat pack port components and a few grouted joints. Job done – fast, inexpensively and without compromise.  Ideal for remote site projects  Rapid and accurate construction Foam Range  Minimal site works m  Factory pre-assembled and checked pe Energy Dissipation (Load Fuses) Air Range When a fender is fully compressed, any further deflec ons can increase forces p- ui rapidly, poten ally leading to structural D damage. PIANC recommends the use of Utility Range load fuses to dissipate excess berthing yq energy and reduce the risk to personnel and structures. QuayQuip PEM has pioneered its own design of load fuses (energy dissipaters) ua which supplement the main fenders (energy absorbers). Their predictable Plastics Range behaviour and compact size allows for Load fuses used in a dual stage fuse arrays which collapse in a safe and Pantograph hydropneumatic .q controlled manner. They are relatively fender to protect nuclear inexpensive and simple to replace. submarines. w Accessories Mooring Travellers w QuayQuip PEM solves the problem of safe mooring in locks and high dal zones with a rail guided floa ng bollard. w Materials/Testing Mooring Travellers make it safer and easier to tie up with the bollard presented at a conveniently safe height and distance for low freeboard ships and barges. Deceptively simple, Mooring Travellers are designed for capacities up to 300kN, completely unsupervised operation and a 50 year design life. A small footprint makes QME Elements perfect where fixing area is restricted.  High efficiency  Modular design m  Good angular performance  Wide range of sizes  PIANC tested and certified pe D B A F E E F p- ui H yq T C L ua Dimensions table H Standard Lengths (mm) A B C D E F T Fixings Weight (mm) 600 900 1000 1200 1500 2000 .q 300  1.9 1.9  3.7  3.7 11.8 5.9 0.7 M20  30     400  2.5 2.4  4.9  4.9 19.7 9.8 0.7 M24  44    500  3.4 2.8  5.6  6.2 19.7 9.8 0.8 M30  75    w 550  3.4 3.3  6.7  6.8 19.7 9.8 0.8 M30  89    600  3.4 4.0  7.8  7.4 19.7 9.8 0.8 M30 103   w 750  4.6  4.6  9.1  9.3 19.7 9.8 1.0 M36 161   800  5.1 4.8  9.4  9.8 19.7 9.8 1.0 M36 180    w 1000  6.4  6.3 12.2 12.7 19.7 9.8 1.2 M42 290     1250  8.0 7.8 15.3 15.8 19.7 9.8 1.4 M48 429     1450  9.0 8.9 17.5 17.9 19.7 9.8 1.6 M48 587    1600 10.3 9.7 18.9 20.0 19.7 9.8 2.0 M56 749    Please ask QuayQuip PEM for other dimensions of QME Elements.
