     (C) gradualness (D) persistency

         troubling them.

    They were very worried.
Gradually or slowly the periodicity of the
    cat’s visit started increasing.

It would pounce upon them from any
direction and catch one of them.
The rats were very worried.

              They held a meeting.

They decided to tie a bell around
      the neck of the cat.
An excellent idea!

  But….who would do it?
A rat facing a cat is an absolute rarity.

It was impossible to execute the idea.
The words frequency, periodicity,
gradualness and persistency are all having
more or less the same meaning.
