This document is a teacher's guide for a physics lesson on forces and Newton's laws of motion using miniature golf as an example. It includes an activity calculating the forces on a golfer and golf ball. It describes a final project where students design a miniature golf hole and contests prizes. Practice Activity
1) Calculate the normal force exerted by the ground
(34 kg) * 9.81 m/s2 = 333.5 N (vector in the direction of arrow 1)
2) Calculate the weight of Bogey (the Putter Prince)

3) Calculate the net force on the golf club when the ball is struck
45 g / 1000 = 0.045 kg
