IDMS collects index data from various vendors like Bloomberg, Thomson,FACTSET and S&P etc,.This data
will be validated and loaded into the database after which extraction will happen and data will be delivered
to different down-streams which use this data for performance measurement and risk analysis. This data
will be of total level, constituent level and also contains aggregated index data.
Role in the project:-L2 support & Application maintenance
● Designed the request files to Bloomberg and Thomson as per the specs to retrieve the market data.
● Files will be received on daily basis from source and this data will be validated and loaded.
● SQL loader is widely used in this application and all data is received through flat files.
● Informatica jobs are configured for some feeds to compose the data extracts.
● Extraction, transformation and loading from oracle database, flat files and from tables in oracle
using oracle PL /SQL and informatica workflows.

As per the requirements, this project is responsible to maintain the data which is being sent /extracted
from various countries. This data talks about the performance of shares(assets) in the marker over a
period of time. Once data is refreshed, through reporting tasks, data will be available to the market
analysts. This is a business critical system as live data will be used to analyze the asset performance.
Role in the project:​ - L2 support and maintenance.
● Created informatica mappings and mapplets using different transformations.
● Main objective is to cleanse and load data in the data hub.
● Various investment firms act as sources where in we receive files on weekly /monthly or daily
basis.
● We SQL loader & informatica to perform extraction functionality from the files.

● Developed the shell scripts in sun Solaris Unix operating system to trigger the procedures and
functions automatically in oracle database.
● Developed the shell scripts in sun Solaris Unix server to manipulate the files of different formats
and extraction of data from database into different file formats.
● Developed the PL /SQL objects (such as procedures,functions,packages,triggers) which runs
through schrduler control-M on daily basis to extract the data from the files and insert them into
database tables.
