Coordinating a geographically dispersed research project using socialMichael Paskevicius
This presentation was delivered to a group of researchers who were about to embark on a geographically dispersed research project.
In the end the "proposal for openness" was rejected mostly because of privacy concerns around the collected data. The wordpress blog will live on, and is expected to be used for more for open reporting later in the project.

12. Publicize 1. Upload a clear profile photo to get more reader interest (same image across all social networking sites will help you build your online brand). 2. Commenting on others’ stories will encourage them to read your story. Be sure to acknowledge comments. (Web 2.0 is a two-way street!) 3. Send your story link to friends and family encouraging them to read your article (Twitter, Facebook, email, blog) 4. Visit blogs and encourage them to read your article with link. If you are mentioned by a famous blogger or a news site, you and your story have a chance to be a superstar! 5. Submit you’re your story to sites that can help your story go viral: digg, StumbleUpon, reddit, etc.
