Purpose: The key objective of this study is to empirically check the issues which effect
the business performance in manufacturing sector of Pakistan during the current period.
The basic premise of the study is to investigate the impact of Entrepreneurial Orientation,
Entrepreneurial Climate on Business Performance with Moderating effect of Network
Capabilities in manufacturing sector of Pakistan.
Goal Contribution of Study: The major contribution of this study is to identify the
effect of Entrepreneurial Orientation and Entrepreneurial climate on Business
performance. The variables tested in this study are not studied more till at present in
Pakistan. So, the goal and contribution is to study and check the results of above said
variables on business performance in Pakistan.
Design/Methodology/Approach: The data is gathered through questionnaires and
analysed with SPSS statistical package program. Factor analysis, regression analysis,
correlation and reliability analysis is done on the data.
Findings: The results of the study depicts a positive relationship of all independent
variables upon dependent variable and the results are highly significant as per previous
studies results.The slope of coefficients of independent variables are significant as per the
regression results. Also, the results are proved as per the earlier studies, conducted in
different countries.
Research limitations: The results are only limited to the manufacturing sector of
(Punjab) Pakistan. The major limitation of this study is the availability of the data for the
all manufacturing firms of the Punjab. Lot of the firms were excluded from the sample
data due to non availability of certain knowledge.
Practical implication: This study helps the managers to be more effective efficient in
managing the business, helps to create an optimal balance among performance and
entrepreneurial orientation, entrepreneurial climate and significantly contribute towards
literature.
