PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is a battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation and Tencent Games. It was released in 2017 for Windows and has since been released on other platforms such as Android, iOS, and Xbox One. The game has 100 players fight to the death in a last-man-standing scenario, parachuting onto an island to scavenge for weapons and equipment to eliminate others while avoiding getting trapped outside of a playzone that decreases in size over time. It emphasizes player versus player combat and was an early success in the popular battle royale genre.
