The Southwest Michigan Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) assists businesses in seven counties who want to sell products or services to the federal, state, or local government. PTAC provides free one-on-one counseling, assistance with government registrations, training events, bid matching services to locate opportunities, subcontracting assistance, and procurement history resources. PTAC counselors are trained to help businesses navigate the large government procurement market.

PTAC provides the opportunity to address

marketing strategies, bid preparation,
administration, understand regulations,
and electronic commerce.

Assistance is offered to complete the
federal government’s System for Award
Management (SAM), the State of
Michigan Vendor Registrations, and other
registrations.

Locating government bid opportunities
can be very time-consuming. Electronic
bid matching scans a variety of
government agencies to provide a report
specific to your company’s product or
service.
Subcontracting Assistance
PTAC can help you identify
subcontracting prospects, provide
guidance on marketing to primes, and
host opportunities to meet with buyers.
Procurement History
The center provides military
procurement history and technical data,
if available, for parts identified with
National Stock Numbers (NSN).
The government purchases billions of dollars in goods and services each year.
