New Primary Production!
Dear Parents 29 August 2014
It is with great excitement that we share the news today… There is a new Primary School
Production on the way! The Drama Production Team is currently very busy creating the new
Primary Production which will be coming to a stage near you in March 2015. The title will be
announced as soon as it is finalised.
The whole of WIS Primary (yes, all 286 students who are currently enrolled as well as 31 staff
members!) will be involved again. As in the past, each class will perform a song or two and we
will hold auditions for the main cast at a later stage. This is a huge collaborative effort from all
Homeroom teachers, students and the Arts department!
The classes will rehearse their songs in school time and work on other production related
projects in the designated art periods. Rehearsal times for the main cast will be announced
after auditions.
We must stress that without parental involvement this event cannot be a success. We need
motivated and enthusiastic children and ask your help in this regard. The play will be
performed on three separate evenings in order to accommodate our growing WIS family.
Please diarise Tuesday, the 10th Wednesday the 11th and Thursday, the 12th of March 2015.
(Performances will start at 19:00) Information about ticket sales will follow later.
In order for this play to be a success, we require financial support from all parents with primary
children. To make this a truly memorable event, we are asking for a contribution of N$150-00
per child which will go toward costume and props. After the play, these costumes and props
will form part of WIS’s Primary Drama Department.
This contribution is payable to your child’s homeroom teacher by no later than Friday, 26
September 2014.
We thank you in advance for your support and cooperation. If you have any queries, please
contact me at ystander@wis.edu.na
We hope you are just as excited as us!
Kind regards,
Yolandé Stander
(On behalf of the Drama Production Team)
