INTRODUCTION



In the era of globalization, health knowledge and technology have become advanced.
Globalization triggers the unstoppable competition between hospitals to upgrade their
standards of hospitalization, it results the competition between hospitals to be tight.

Hospitals compete against one another to serve the best health services for costumers.
Patients satisfaction has become major priority. Each hospital is required to be supported by
professionals who run in the specialized of hospital services.

The majority personnel of hospital are nurses which intensely communicate and contact with
the patients. Thus, the quality and competency of nurses must be in concerned for the
hospital management.

Improving the knowledge and skill of the nurses are absolutely needed to elevate the quality
services. Therefore, human capital investment is the best strategy to solve this issues.
Relation to the human capital development, the Yaslis Institute coop with the Holy Spirit
College and Centro Escolar University conduct in job training for nurses.

The training is designed and adjusted to the need of hospital to response the challenge and
problems of services in the future.

                                           PURPOSE

      Improve the quality of nursing services in hospital.
      Increase the loyality and competency of nurses.


                                         PROGRAM

       The program will run for two month and 3 to 4 days from Monday to Saturday, in
       Manila, Philippines. Sunday is a free day. We can arrange for activities like a City
       Tour, and Shopping at Greenhills and MOA.
       The first day includes an Orientation, including an introduction and a tour of the
       College, a discussion of the house rules in the campus, an explanation of the
       Philippine culture, and an orientation of the Program to be undertaken by the
       participants.
       The next three days will be English sessions: review of nursing terms, conversational
       English in the hospital, and casual everyday English.
This program include:
           o   Emergency Care Nursing
           o   Surgery Nursing Care
           o   Neonate Intensive Care Unit
           o   Maternal Nursing Care
           o   Pediatric Nursing Care
           o   General Hospitalization Training
       Each of these Programs includes 3 days LECTURE and 4 days RLE (on the job
       training).
       The last 2 days will include visitations in to some hospitals.
       The number of participants is 15 per batch for each group. They are nurses who are
       working in hospitals in Indonesia.



                                             COST

       The entire cost of the program will be US$1.400 per participant. This includes
       certificate, tuition fees, transportation pick up and drop in the participants from and
       to airport, transportation going to and back from the hospital and dormitory (not
       include airfare, passport cost, and meals). Expenses for the Free Day is not included
       too.
       The cost of in job training will be funded by hospital management.
