Editor's Notes

  • #7 3-Gold is a highly efficient conductor that is able to carry tiny electrical charges, and because of this property a small amount is found in almost all electronic devices, including cell phones, televisions, GPS units and more. Because gold is such an efficient conductor of electrical charges, it is also often found in desktop and laptop computers to transfer information quickly. 7-In the medical field, small amounts of gold isotopes are used in certain radiation treatments and diagnosis. 5-Gold is used to lubricate mechanical parts, conduct electricity and coat the insides of space vehicles to protect people inside from infrared radiation and heat. 9-Gold is also used when making specialty glass for climate controlled buildings and cases. A small amount of gold dispersed within the glass or coated onto the glass surface will reflect solar radiation outward, helping the buildings stay cool in the summer, and reflect internal heat inward, helping them stay warm in winter.
  • #8 1-Pure gold is relatively soft--it has about the hardness of a penny 2-Impure gold, as it commonly occurs in deposits, has a density of 16 to 18, whereas the associated waste rock (gangue) has a density of about 2.5. The difference in density enables gold to be concentrated by gravity and permits the separation of gold from clay, silt, sand, and gravel by various agitating and collecting devices such as the gold pan, rocker, and sluicebox.
  • #9 is from a report on the U.S. Geological Survey website
  • #12 Cordinates of jhangira  33°57'46" N   72°13'17" E Jehangira is under Swabi distric
  • #14 Deposits considered to be economically recoverable at current market prices may contain as little as 0.69 to 1.37 ppm
