Deyonte went to the pet store to buy Ariana 3 very small puppies. The puppies
are $150together, he knew the man that own the store so he only paid $60 for
them. How many puppies can Deyonte buy for $60?
Step 1:First I wrote down the
number of puppies which was 3 and the
number of dollars which was 150 and
60 to start my problem.
x
60x3=150x
180=150
X=1.2
/150/150
Puppies
Dollars
3
150 60
Step 2:Then I multiplied the
numbers across which were 60 and 3
which gave me the answer 180
Step 3:Finally I divided 180 and
the number that was left which was 150
to get what x mean and my answer was
1.2.
63 is what percentage of 5?
Step 1:First I multiplied the
numbers across which were 63 and 100
that gave me the answer 6300.
63
100x63
6300/5
1260
/5/5
100 5
Step 2:Then I divided 6300 with
the number that is left which is 5.
Step 3:Finally I got my answer
which is 1260 that fills in the percent
box.
Unit Reflection
• I liked the way I had to make up my own
problem.
• I didn’t liked the way I had to explain my
answer
• The hardest part was trying to explain how
I got my answer.
