The Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) aims to enhance industrial development through a 1,483 km high axle load corridor, impacting six states and proposed to include 24 nodes. The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) is under construction, with phases planned from 2011 to 2018, and a total developable area of 580 sq km within the overarching DMIC development framework. The Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) focuses on non-polluting industries and projects a resident population of 2 million and up to 827,000 jobs by 2042, with a total cost estimate of approximately INR 45,321.80 crores for phase one infrastructure development.
