Bringing stability to a troubled delivery team
In 2013, I was brought into Morpho Cards Singapore to lead the Global Competence Centre.
The team was facing challenges in delivery projects on time. All existing projects were behind schedule.
There was a lack of responsibilities due to the matrix organization
Generally, each team are not aware of their respective ownership
Due to geographically disperse team, communications tend to break down during the project
execution
The immediate action was to set aside clear roles and responsibilities between each team.
In addition, common goals were set for the entire department.
After months of process implementation and close communication with the various sections within the
department, entire department was able to deliver projects on time with a common goal.

started to systematically review areas of
improvement within and re-looked at the team
compositions.
Armed with the findings, Lean Sigma projects
were launch and teams were re-structured.
The success in implementing these initiatives
allowed the team to:

man-day rate
