"MOBIO" is a combined word from "Mobile" and "Biomedical". The project is a thinking and started when smart phones rise-up in 2009. In this project, the goal is provide a platform and which is built a database to collect personal health information from smart phone's APPs, and has illuminated some concepts for wearable devices which will use to get the bio-information. Unfortunately, the topic isn't matching my career, so it has stalled. After 10 years, I found it in my google drive folder, I am so surprise for the slides' description that matched the current industrial development. I would like to share the idea and publish to everyone. Last, if you have a thinking, just action no wait.

2. Introduction
 全球手機(Cell phone)在2008年出貨量高達1.21 billion
支 * ， 其 中 智 慧 型 手 機 (Smart phone, ex: HTC,
iPhone…etc)出貨量也達38.14 million支*，約佔整個
市場的3.14 %。
 智慧型手機的出貨量，2008年約較2007年成長約16%
(Note: 2007年出貨量約 27 million 支)

 智慧型手機在規格以及軟體服務上，比傳統的手機擁
有更多功能以及擴充彈性；在硬體上主要應用觸控面
板或是添加多軸加速度計等人機互動介面 (Human
interface)搭配軟體(API)，組成互動性極佳的GUI。而
在軟體服務上，藉由3G或是wifi網路提供的網際網路
互連性，符合目前 Web應用的熱潮。

4. Introduction – Cont.
 手機是目前最普及的應用平台，由Apple iTunes以及
Google Market兩大供應商所建立的軟體銷售管道，
可以知道手機的軟體市場有極大的發展潛力。
 個人健康照護(Personal Healthcare)也是手機軟體(或
其周邊設備)開發中極具潛力的一個題材。由於手機的
可攜性以及普及性，使得這個題材也具有真正的實用
性與相較傳統設備的即時性(wifi or 3G)，以及臨床研
究上的價值。
 目前在Apple iTunes的軟體銷售平台上，也有一個主
要項目為 Healthcare & fitness提供健康照護的相關應
用程式供客戶端使用。

5. Motivation
 由 於 Google Android 平 台 的 開 放 性 ， 以 及 來 自 於
Google網路巨擘的支援，包涵OHA(open handset
alliance)的廣大手機開發商選用此平台，使Android平
台無疑具有極佳的發展潛力。
 由於目前手機的Personal Healthcare尚屬初期的開發
階段，仍有許多資源以及題材可以發展市場應用，以
及供臨床研究使用。

6. Purpose
 MOBIO Project 是基於Google Android 平台的開發專
案，主要針對Personal Healthcare 的相關應用研發軟
硬 體 (Software & Hardware) 的 整 合 設 計 (Total
solution)。
 結合網路平台特性，將健康資訊存入安全網路上的個
人健康資訊平台(Microsoft有此平台，相信Google will
create similar one!!)

7. Project Kernel
 MOBIO 取自 Mobile & Biological 的合體字，主要涵
義為強調可攜性與其生物資訊意義，而其讀音也接近
於Mobile，可以強化可攜式平台意象。(目前專案的開
發代號)
 專 案 主 要 由 Software ， Hardware ， 以 及 Clinical
research 等元素所建構。
 MOBIO Project 為可延伸的開發架構，在此架構下可
以 發 展 不 同 的 硬 體 與 軟 體 ， 但 須 統 合 於 MOBIO
Project之下。

8. Development Items
 目前專案軟體發展部分有兩個主要項目。主要搭配現
有之手機硬體資源，例如：圖形化使用者介面，音效
處理，觸控面板，多軸感應器。
 硬體則是透過藍牙裝置型式(Bluetooth)，發展可於可
攜平台上使用之相關微型生理監測裝置(Micro-Bio-
information Device)。例如：腕帶血壓計，血糖計，
pulse meter等等相關的應用。

9. Development Item 1
 發展人機介面的反饋量化統計，提供生理狀態評估的
應用軟體。此部分主要應用技術為視覺圖像技術與聽
覺觸發，搭配手機既有觸控面板。而臨床的支援，則
需要提供一份簡潔的生理狀態問卷；透過統計分析，
來達到生理狀態評估的功能

10. Development Item 2
 利用手機的多軸感應器，設計使用者伸展操的應用軟
體。伸展的軌跡可以利用手機多軸感應器轉化為空間
上的座標，指引使用者相關的位置達到伸展的目的。

11. Short-term Goals
 參與Project人員必須具備相關的基礎開發能力。
 Project的Development必須先以軟體為重，並應用既
有的手機資源為主。(也請大家集思廣益提供意見)
 尋找同類型或是同質性的軟體或是硬體，供Project人
員學習與參考比較。
 硬體與系統開發的工程師，請尋找合適的硬體或開發
平台，供專案開發使用。
