1. GE- Predictive Scheduler and Summary
Organization : GE India.
Team Size : 7
Client : AMMC.
Responsibility : Project Management, Architecture, Design, Development,
Testing and Documentation.
Language : C# ,VC++(MFC) and SQL Server.
Duration : 4 months using Agile Methodology.
Predictive Scheduler is windows based module used in back office dispatch system and it
primarily predicts the meet and pass time/station for all the active trains in a territory. This
system uses a client/server framework and a generic plug in mechanism so that customer
specific implementation of data, IPC can be easily plugged in.
The client includes Meet pass form in Train Sheet and Train Graph.
2. GE-GPS Service and Summary
Organization : GE India.

Client : AMMC
Responsibility : Project Management, Design, Development, Testing and
Documentation.

Duration : 4 months using Agile Methodology.
AMMC GPS feature is about getting the Data from ELOS Hardware and format data in process
called GPS Service which will send the messages thru IPC mechanism to another process GPS
Summary. GPS Summary will be shown to the Dispatcher’s.
3. GE-Track Bulletin for AMMC
Organization : GE India.
Team Size : 7

Responsibility : Project Management, Design, Development, Testing and
Documentation.
Language : VB.NET, VC++(MFC) and SQL Server.
Duration : 4 months using Agile Methodology.
Track Bulletin is a form based add-on module used in an office based dispatch system. This tool
helps in creation of different type of authorities in the Track layout. Dispatcher uses this tool to
set authorities to trains and track components in a Track layout. Basic functionalities involve
creation of line items M, V and W. Bulletin can be created from one or more line items in a
territory.
4. GE-Reporting for Track Bulletin
Organization : GE India.
Team Size : 7
Client : AMMC
Responsibility : Project Management, Design, Development, Testing and
Documentation.
Language : VC++(MFC) and SQL Server.
Duration : 3 months using Agile Methodology.
Windows based module is developed for the printing functionality of Track Bulletin. It supports
printing of individual line items, individual bulletins, and Daily bulletins in Crystal report
format. Optional functionality of saving prints in HTML4.0 is also supported.
5. GE- Track Occupancy Form (TOP)
Organization : GE India.
Team Size : 7
Client : AMMC.
Responsibility : Project Management, Architecture, Design, Development,
Testing and Documentation.
Language : VC++(MFC) and SQL Server.
Duration : 5 months using Agile Methodology.
TOP is windows based form developed in MFC which used to get the details of the Tracks,
Operators, Blocks, Trains, Expiration Time, From MP & To MP, TOP Number entered by the
dispatchers.
6. UI Stability for AMMC
Organization : GE India.

Client : AMMC.
Responsibility : RA, FMEA, Design, Development, Testing and Documentation.

Duration : 3 months using Agile Methodology.
This project is done to stabilize UI module of Train Navigator Dispatch system. FMEA is done on
this module and set of proposition are designed and implemented as follows:
Thread synchronization during data exchange from server.
Optimization of flashing logic to avoid vector corruption.
Optimization of mutex timeout value under different system and network load.
7. Texas field protocol and Simulator
Organization : GE India.
Team Size : 1
Client : Texas Utilities.
Responsibility : Design, Development, Testing and Documentation.
Language : VC++(MFC) and SQL Server.
Duration : 3 months.
Customer proprietary protocol is developed which aids Train Navigator Dispatch system to
communicate with field components. A Form based Simulator is developed which is used for
unit testing and System testing.
8. Rotterdam Signaling logic
Organization : GE India.
Team Size : 1
Client : Rotterdam metro.
Responsibility : Design, Development, Testing and Documentation.
Language : VC++(MFC) and SQL Server.
Duration : 4 months.
Rotterdam metro had very specific signaling requirements which were done from Office
Dispatch System, These were done partially by code change and rest by writing logic equation
file which is use to write complex logic for different track components. Some of the signaling
requirements are as follows:
Turning tracks with multiple combinations.
Work zone with different combinations.
Operating modes.
9. VSP Signaling Logic
Organization : GE India.
Team Size : 4
Client : Vizag Steel Plant.
Responsibility : System Engineering, RA, Project Management, Design,
Development, Release, Testing and Documentation, Product Deployment and Training.
Language : VC++(MFC) and C#
Duration : 1 Year.
VSP is the first project of Train Navigator Dispatch system in India. VSP spans a total of 4 yards
and had very specific signaling requirements conforming to Indian Railways. Some of the
customized signaling functionalities are follows.
Shunt signal and routing functionality.
Post shunts signal and routing functionality.
1024 indication and control bits exchange support.
Shunts limit board functionality for routing.
Slotting signal and routing functionality.
10. VSP Central Monitoring Commissioning
Organization : GE India.
Team Size : 4
Client : Vizag Steel Plant.
Responsibility : System Engineering, RA, Project Management, Design,
Development, Release, Testing and Documentation, Product Deployment and Training.
Language : VC++(MFC) and C#
Duration : 3 Months.
The RailEdge Traffic Control System has direct interaction with various personnel that have
authorized access to the system. The type of personnel varies from those who use the system on
a continuous basis to casual users. In order to provide a successful human-machine interface,
this wide variety of needs must be met.
Numerous features of the human-machine interface are general in nature and common to
multiple displays. Examples of displays include a track layout display and forms. The RailEdge
Traffic Control System adheres to industry display standards to promote maximum usability and
maintainability. Inherent in the needs of a RailEdge Traffic Control System is the capability to
alert the operator to varying conditions that may occur in the field as well as the system.
11. Integration of VHLC and Electrologix to TND
Organization : GE India.
Team Size : 1
Client : All Customers except Texas Utilities.
Responsibility : Design, Development, Testing and Documentation,
Language : VC++(MFC)
Duration : 2 Month.
VHLC and Electrologix are proprietary field hardware components to execute signaling logic to
control and monitor field components. Communication between the Software system and field
hardware is done through ethernet layer using windows socket. All the protocol handshakes are
verified by writing test logic both in hardware and software.
12. NPI: Genisys field protocol and Simulator
Organization : GE India.
Team Size : 1
Client : All Customers except Texas Utilities.
Responsibility : Design, Development, Testing and Documentation,
Language : VC++(MFC)
Duration : 3 Month.
Genisys protocol is developed which aids Train Navigator Dispatch system to communicate with
field components. A Form based Simulator is developed which is used for unit testing and
System testing.
13. Porting, Flashing logic, History Application
Organization : GE India.
Team Size : 2
Client : Core Product.
Responsibility : Design, Development, Testing and Documentation,

Duration : 6 Month.
Core TND product having 78 projects is ported from Visual Studio 6.0 to Visual Studio 2005.
Compilation and runtime errors are fixed and tested with old base line product.
Application like History, Alarms, TerritoryTranfer which was written in SDK is redesigned and
implemented in MFC. New logic is written to support flashing of components as API’s like
AnimatePallete got deprecated in Windows XP.
PROJECT DETAILS @ MSPL
Project 1:
Project Title: DAWN LRU (Line Replacement Unit)
LRU project is a customized tester to build & diagnose the POD support system & its
main units. An industrial PC test set up is interfaced with the LRU using GPIB bus and ATE
Computer. The LRU is to detect the objects using the signals, which are received by the RADAR.
The LRU test set contains the following, ATE computer, which contains the cards for establishing
the communication between the test software, test set & the UUT.
This software is a GUI based application. This software is a complete acceptance test for
LRU. It prevent unauthorized access, accomplishes ATP cycle with user interface. This also
generates reports on tests and analysis of the test can be done using graphs.

Project Title: CATS3 (COMED ACCEPTANCE TEST SET)
This Software is used for testing of COMED (Combined Map and Electronics Display
System) system. COMED is a head down cockpit display system in an aircraft. The COMED
system LRU’S are Display Head Unit (DH) and InterfaceUnit (IFU). The software provides
suitable GUI with user-friendly features to test the COMED. In this software 1553 bus interfacing
card is used to transmit the data to COMED via 1553 links.

Project Title: GYRO Acceptance Test Bench
GYRO Test Bench is used to carry out the acceptance testing of GYRO end unit. An

Duration : 4 months using Agile Methodology. Track Bulletin is a form based add-on module used in an office based dispatch system. This tool helps in creation of different type of authorities in the Track layout. Dispatcher uses this tool to set authorities to trains and track components in a Track layout. Basic functionalities involve creation of line items M, V and W. Bulletin can be created from one or more line items in a territory. 4. GE-Reporting for Track Bulletin Organization : GE India.   • 5. Windows based module is developed for the printing functionality of Track Bulletin. It supports printing of individual line items, individual bulletins, and Daily bulletins in Crystal report format. Optional functionality of saving prints in HTML4.0 is also supported. 5. GE- Track Occupancy Form (TOP) Organization : GE India. Team Size : 7 Client : AMMC. Responsibility : Project Management, Architecture, Design, Development, Testing and Documentation. TOP is windows based form developed in MFC which used to get the details of the Tracks, Operators, Blocks, Trains, Expiration Time, From MP & To MP, TOP Number entered by the dispatchers. 6. UI Stability for AMMC Organization : GE India. Team Size : 2 Client : AMMC. Responsibility : RA, FMEA, Design, Development, Testing and Documentation. Language : VC++(MFC) and SQL Server. Duration : 3 months using Agile Methodology. This project is done to stabilize UI module of Train Navigator Dispatch system. FMEA is done on this module and set of proposition are designed and implemented as follows: Thread synchronization during data exchange from server. Optimization of flashing logic to avoid vector corruption. Optimization of mutex timeout value under different system and network load. 7. Texas field protocol and Simulator Organization : GE India. A Form based Simulator is developed which is used for unit testing and System testing. 8. Rotterdam Signaling logic Organization : GE India. Team Size : 1 Client : Rotterdam metro. Responsibility : Design, Development, Testing and Documentation. Language : VC++(MFC) and SQL Server. Duration : 4 months. Rotterdam metro had very specific signaling requirements which were done from Office Dispatch System, These were done partially by code change and rest by writing logic equation file which is use to write complex logic for different track components. Some of the signaling requirements are as follows: Turning tracks with multiple combinations. Work zone with different combinations. Operating modes. 9. VSP Signaling Logic Organization : GE India. Team Size : 4 Client : Vizag Steel Plant. Responsibility : System Engineering, RA, Project Management, Design, Development, Release, Testing and Documentation, Product Deployment and Training. Language : VC++(MFC) and C# Duration : 1 Year. VSP is the first project of Train Navigator Dispatch system in India. VSP spans a total of 4 yards and had very specific signaling requirements conforming to Indian Railways. Some of the customized signaling functionalities are follows. Shunt signal and routing functionality.
  • 7. Post shunts signal and routing functionality. 1024 indication and control bits exchange support. Shunts limit board functionality for routing. Slotting signal and routing functionality. 10. VSP Central Monitoring Commissioning Organization : GE India. Team Size : 4 Client : Vizag Steel Plant. Responsibility : System Engineering, RA, Project Management, Design, Development, Release, Testing and Documentation, Product Deployment and Training. Language : VC++(MFC) and C# Duration : 3 Months. The RailEdge Traffic Control System has direct interaction with various personnel that have authorized access to the system. The type of personnel varies from those who use the system on a continuous basis to casual users. In order to provide a successful human-machine interface, this wide variety of needs must be met. Numerous features of the human-machine interface are general in nature and common to multiple displays. Examples of displays include a track layout display and forms. The RailEdge Traffic Control System adheres to industry display standards to promote maximum usability and maintainability. Inherent in the needs of a RailEdge Traffic Control System is the capability to alert the operator to varying conditions that may occur in the field as well as the system. 11. Integration of VHLC and Electrologix to TND Organization : GE India. Team Size : 1 Client : All Customers except Texas Utilities. Responsibility : Design, Development, Testing and Documentation, Language : VC++(MFC) Duration : 2 Month. VHLC and Electrologix are proprietary field hardware components to execute signaling logic to control and monitor field components. Communication between the Software system and field hardware is done through ethernet layer using windows socket. All the protocol handshakes are verified by writing test logic both in hardware and software.

Responsibility : Design, Development, Testing and Documentation, Language : VC++(MFC) Duration : 3 Month. Genisys protocol is developed which aids Train Navigator Dispatch system to communicate with field components. A Form based Simulator is developed which is used for unit testing and System testing. 13. Porting, Flashing logic, History Application Organization : GE India. Team Size : 2 Client : Core Product. Responsibility : Design, Development, Testing and Documentation, Language : VC++(MFC) Duration : 6 Month. Core TND product having 78 projects is ported from Visual Studio 6.0 to Visual Studio 2005. Compilation and runtime errors are fixed and tested with old base line product. Application like History, Alarms, TerritoryTranfer which was written in SDK is redesigned and implemented in MFC. New logic is written to support flashing of components as API’s like AnimatePallete got deprecated in Windows XP. PROJECT DETAILS @ MSPL Project 1: Project Title: DAWN LRU (Line Replacement Unit) LRU project is a customized tester to build & diagnose the POD support system & its main units. An industrial PC test set up is interfaced with the LRU using GPIB bus and ATE Computer. The LRU is to detect the objects using the signals, which are received by the RADAR. The LRU test set contains the following, ATE computer, which contains the cards for establishing the communication between the test software, test set & the UUT.
  • 9. This software is a GUI based application. This software is a complete acceptance test for LRU. It prevent unauthorized access, accomplishes ATP cycle with user interface. This also generates reports on tests and analysis of the test can be done using graphs. COMED is a head down cockpit display system in an aircraft. The COMED system LRU’S are Display Head Unit (DH) and InterfaceUnit (IFU). The software provides suitable GUI with user-friendly features to test the COMED. In this software 1553 bus interfacing card is used to transmit the data to COMED via 1553 links. An industrial PC test set up is interfaced with the gyroscope using GPIB bus and PCI DIO card. This software is a GUI based application. This software is a complete acceptance test for gyro. It prevent unauthorized access, accomplishes ATP cycle with user interface. This also generates reports on tests and analysis of the test can be done using graphs.
