- 1. Professional Goals Main GoalsObjectives Tactics and Actions Gain relevant experience within the tourism industry and gain full time employment as a tourism or event assistant upon graduation. Become actively involved in UC Club Tourism and Cooper Lodge’s Event Crew -I have already signed up to the mailing list for UC Club Tourism and will become actively involved in the club semester 2 2017 -Ask one of the Events Crew members how I could become involved in the Events Crew to gain skills and knowledge of how to organise, manage and develop events. Do voluntary work at events to gain relevant experience -Research opportunities for voluntary work with events or tourism in winter break 2017 - Begin participating in volunteering in events and tourism at the end of semester 2 2017 Gain part time employment within the tourism industry -Research part time available In Canberra and near Rylstone this year - Begin actively applying for part time positions in summer 2018 Gain full time employment as a tourism or event assistant after graduation and work towards moving up position roles in the future -Ask prospective employers at the University of Canberra Tertiary to Work Career Fair about their opportunities and their product -Research providers in 2018 and create a list of the organisations and job opportunities that interest me -Start applying for full time job positions in 2019 before I graduate so I can gain full time employment upon graduation -Research what steps I need to take to move up position roles within the career and create a strong and respectable dedication to work
