Daniel De Bühr, a leader in architecting advanced bio-gas
energy solutions, brings more than two decades of innovation,
engineering, design and implementation expertise to the
renewable and alternative energies marketplace. As founder
and managing partner of Wisconsin based Advanced Green
Energy Solutions LLC and previously Clear Horizons LLC,
Daniel has been successfully designing, developing and
delivering high-visibility bioenergy solutions which have been
largely recognized as representing the “best in class” category
and are frequently cited by other industry experts as being case
study models for future bioenergy project investments. One of
Daniel’s more recent project achievements was featured
broadly in the July/August 2012 edition of Construction Leaders
Today magazine, an international industry journal that promotes the growth of new ideas and
projects for architects, designers and developers.
Since 2003, Mr. De Bühr has been highly influential as a bioenergy subject matter expert and
consultant serving many public, private and government entities advising them on a wide range
of technical, engineering and operational matters in helping them "harvest" energy from
sustainable sources including biomass, wind and sun. His expertise and credentials are unique
among his peers: a “natural” engineer, Daniel attained his engineering degree through the
University of Wisconsin and went on to supplement his equally inherent entrepreneurial,
business and marketing propensities through continued MBA studies while attending University
of Chicago’s International Program in Barcelona, Spain. A most notable and perhaps most
valuable professional characteristic of Daniel is his unrelenting passion for marketable
engineering innovation and high ROI continuous process improvement. Something he readily
admits he could not turn off even if he wanted to, stating “It’s who I am—it’s in my DNA.”
Prior to finding his niche and professional passion in the renewable energy solutions market
space, Mr. De Bühr developed extensive business, R & D, operations management and
marketing expertise serving in senior marketing leadership and operations management roles
with market-leading Midwest manufacturers including Waukesha Engine, Bucyrus International
and Nordberg/Metso. In these capacities he often traveled extensively internationally, spending
a significant amount of time in South Africa and Europe, where he developed a deep familiarity
of the cultures. Intelligent, articulate and driven to succeed Daniel is a technically savvy
business leader with a deep understanding of market drivers and a true passion for driving new
revenue opportunities through development and exploitation of product, service and brand
innovation and commercialization.
