Bruce has a heated argument with Hall in his office about letting a serial killer go free. Hall gets in Bruce's face and shouts that Bruce has just handed the killer his next victim. Bruce remains calm but is clearly affected. After Hall storms out, Bruce drops a crucifix he was holding and decides that maybe the world needs a little madness.

MCU: Of Hall walking towards Bruce on desk, angry
MS: Bruce stays seated. He tries to remain calm but is a bit
heated. He tries not to look at Hall
TS: Hall gets close to Bruce and points to chest when he
shouts
MCU: Bruce looks Hall dead in the eye
POV: Bruce’s pov. As En’Zolo finishes his speech he winks
at Bruce (the camera)
MCU: Hall gets right into Bruce’s face and shouts. The
camera moves around Hall’s back from his right to his left.
Camera movement stops at an mcu two shot
CU: Hall spits his words at Bruce. Look of disgust
MCU: Of Bruce
TS: Bruce and Hall turn towards the door, then back to each
other. Camera follows Hall as he dashes out the door.
CU: Bruce removes a crucifix from around his neck, and
holds it in his hand he drops it after his line. Camera pans as
it drops to the floor
MS: Bruce gets up and walks to the door, opens it, the leaves
(dialogue as he opens the door). Door is closed softly as
Bruce leaves. Camera is at a low angle and zooms in as
Bruce leaves, stopping as the door is closed. Shot of the
closed door lingers
“How what! How much paperwork that would save?”
“It’s not like that!... Listen and listen well. I didn’t sign
up to this just to arrest people. I did it to protect the
innocent. He does that.”
“We do that!”
“Not all of us. You know not everyone sees this job like
we do. Heck, that’s why he’s here”
“Some of your officers are scum… Hm, you know this. I
can see it on your face. Bribes, falsified evidence,
selective enforcement. Mr. Bruce, I like you, you seem
like an honest man. But not all your cops are like you or
your partner even. If they did their job properly, I
wouldn't be here... (winks)”
“BRUCE, YOU HAVE JUST LET A KILLER LOOSE!
YOU HAVE JUST HANDED HIM HIS NEXT
VICTIM! BRUCE, YOU’VE AS GOOD AS KILLED A
MAN! YOU’RE JUST AS MAD AS HE IS!” “Frankie,
he, he wants what we want”
“What we want or what you want?”
“What we need” Distant scream
“Well, I need to go and catch a serial killer. Thanks a lot,
Chief.” Door slams
Thud of the crucifix on the floor “Maybe the world
needs a little madness”
*Bruce and En’Zolo voice over together* “Maybe the
world needs a little madness” Door closes
