We did our first edit of Cabin in iMovie to combine camera angles and estimate the rough length. The edit showed that shots of a girl running would not fill the desired two minutes and more suspenseful filler shots are needed. An initially selected song by Ellie Goulding was deemed too upbeat so an eerier but still upbeat song will be found. Future action includes learning Final Cut Pro, capturing additional footage, and choosing a new soundtrack.

Event
Today we did our very first edit for Cabin. We did this in Imovie
on the Macintosh’s. This was to combine all of the camera
angles together and see how long (roughly) it would be. The
next time we edit we shall use final cut pro as there are more
features to play with. We soon found out that the shots we
took of the girl running were not going to fill the full 2 minutes
(if it did, the suspense of the film would die). So we decided we
need to go back to frylands and take some filler shots. We also
established that ‘Anything could happen’ by Ellie Goulding was
not going to be best suited to our opening as it is too happy and
upbeat. So we need to find another track that is still upbeat but
more eerie.
