Design DESIGN that serves people and their work. At Ahrend, design is a tradition, not a trend. The boundless perfectionism of Friso Kramer, who created his first designs for the company in the 1950s, has been a great influence on Ahrend’s design philosophy. His Revolt chair, designed in 1953, and Mehes office furniture range. From the 1970s, are still iconic parts of our collection. Today, our own designers like Wijtse Rodenburg, Bas Pruijser and Kees de Boer, in collaboration with leading talents such as Wim Quist, Frans de la Haye, Perry A. King & Santiago Miranda, Sigurd Rothe and Roberto Meyer & Jeroen van Schooten, ensure that Ahrend continues to produce inspiring individual pieces and series of furniture. The purpose of the Ahrend Collection is to serve people and their work. Staying open to changes in society and providing direction to new developments is key to Ahrend. We therefore highly value working together with customers, suppliers, architects and designers.
Desking
Ahrend 800 Designed by Wijtse Rodenburg. “Everything merges harmoniously: form, function and material. Ahrend 800 proves that you can give “cool” materials such as stainless steel and glass a friendly and almost “playful” character. And this is precisely what I had in my mind’s eye during the design process: a piece of furniture that takes you by surprise both in a business environment as well as at home. Pleasing to look at and pleasing to work on.
Ahrend Jetstream Designed by Marijn vd Poll. Ahrend Jetstream was designed by the Dutch designer Marijn van der Poll. The design of the table is inspired by the De Havilland Comet, the first commercial jet airliner in history, which carried many passengers around the world from the start of the 1950s. The unique form of the Jetstream adds to the work experience without any loss of functionality.
Ahrend 1030 Designed by Wim Quist. In 1996, Ahrend commissioned architect Wim Quist to translate his ideas about form and function on the one hand, and choice and control of materials on the other, into a series of tables. With the Ahrend 1030 tables, Wim Quist demonstrates once again that simplicity and functionality are the two pillars in which beauty rests. Four table top shapes. Aluminium frame of fixed or easily adjustable height.
Ahrend 22 Designed by Bas Pruijser. Ahrend 22 is a range of tables (desking), consisting of low tables, tables at standing height and tables at working height. The range includes square, rectangular, round and elliptical top varieties, allowing for every style of working, conferencing and relaxing. The tables are always stand-alone and cannot be linked together. Desks, worktops and conference tables. Easily adjustable in height. In a range of tabletop shapes, colours and materials.
Ahrend 750 Designed by Wijtse Rodenburg. Working is all about variation. Whether sitting, standing, working with others, or working alone, the interchangeable use of valuable office space is key to efficient and effective working. The Ahrend 750 office furniture system embraces this concept with an advanced level of adjustability. From high to low, open or closed, and everything in between, the desk enables the user to have multiple options when using the space. The connecting panels have random perforations, enhancing the acoustic and aesthetic properties of the system. Desk or standing table, reading table or flexible workspace. Ahrend 750 is everything in one, for every function, always a level higher on all levels.
Mehes Designed by Friso Kramer. The desks, worktops and conference tables reflect the activities of their users. Dynamism accompanies productive ways of working together: aesthetics combines with a businesslike attitude. Whether in the boardroom, the administrative department or the conference room, Mehes creates the best possible conditions everywhere - functionality, efficiency, ergonomics and privacy too. Combine it with Ahrend’s screens, for example, to further maximise the use available space. Desks, worktops and conference tables. Easily adjustable in height. In a range of tabletop shapes, colours and materials.
Ahrend 700 Designed by Perry King and Santiago Miranda. With rectangular and triangular working surfaces atop frames of fixed or adjustable height. The Ahrend 700 system creates environments that work. They fit perfectly into new working styles in which individual and group work stations flow together. King and Miranda say, “The effort is to achieve the unachievable, and that is a fiction, but that effort in itself remains an inspiring point of departure.” Desks, worktops and conference tables. Adjustable in height. Linkable. Static or movable.
Ahrend 500 Designed by Wijtse Rodenburg. “We have always been interested in finding the optimum combination of functionality, flexibility, design and price-quality ratio. This aim was central to the design of the Ahrend 500. The result is a modular table programme that is suitable for all kinds of worksites. In particular, companies that wish to respond rapidly to changes in the market can modify their working environment accordingly thanks to this system with its great ease of assembly.” Desks, worktops and conference tables. Adjustable in height. Linkable. Static or movable.
Ahrend 500 bench Designed by Wijtse Rodenburg - Lieke van Gool. A worksite has a variety of functions in the modern office. Due to continuing developments in the field of telecommunications, an office is not much a place to sit and write or type but much more a meeting place for the exchange of information. Logging in quickly, typing a brief report, checking your E-mails, holding a meeting or a business lunch - modern tables can support all these functions, and more. With the Ahrend 500 benching system, a group of people can work productively in close proximity while each one works individually. Used as desks and conference tables.
Ahrend Four_Two Ahrend Four_Two is a furniture programme with several design versions and its own identity, suited for all types of workplaces. Because of this broad programme it is possible for organisations to use the same furniture line at all locations and in all functions: tables, desks, duo-tables and benches in many varieties, including systems that can be adjusted in height, and a complete cable management system. Four_Two offers the highest quality at a reasonable price and because of that it is suited for price-efficient working environments. The 2-legged version with sidepieces was designed by Wijtse Rodenburg; the 4-legged version by Lieke van Gool.
Ahrend 315 Designed by Bert van der AA. The Ahrend 315-table is individualistic and recognizable by its round shapes. The table is very practical to use; with its hollow feet and a cutaway angle there is a lot of space for cables and cords. Not only in office environments, but also ideal for use at home. Main features characteristic design leg frame extends into the table top excellent cabling options due to a smart frame construction and hollow table legs possibility of integrated lighting wheelchair friendly because of the recessed panels underneath the table top
Seating
Ahrend 750 lounge Designed by Bas Pruijser.

Multifunctional solutions
Revolt Designed by Friso Kramer. Things that never become outdated only get better with time. This is certainly true of the Ahrend Revolt chair. It’s design, and especially the materials used - bent sheet steel instead of the traditional tubular frame - were revolutionary in 1953. Available in black and white. Frame: bent sheet steel Seat and back: synthetic
Ahrend 360 Designed by Jeroen Verbrugge “We set ourselves the task of making a unique proposition, in terms of aesthetics, functionality and technique, and this chair is where it took us”, says Jeroen Verbrugge. What makes the chair so unique is the special material used in its construction. The legs and frame of the AHREND 360 are made from magnesium extracted from seawater. “Magnesium is an alternative material to aluminium”, Jeroen Verbrugge explains. “In terms of energy consumed during extraction and processing, aluminium is particularly damaging to the environment. The extraction of magnesium from seawater is not. Furthermore, it takes less energy to process and work magnesium. The seat of the AHREND 360 is completely separate from the legs and frame, and is made from a different material. “This is a good idea from the point of view of sustainability, because both elements can easily be recycled separately “, says Jeroen Verbrugge. The seat of the AHREND 360 is made from recycled polypropylene, which is available in many RAL colours. The design of the Ahrend 360 was kept deliberately simple. “Aesthetically, I was looking for beautiful lines, with a warm effect. Timeless, but above all elegant. Something that would be at home in all kinds of user environments. For that matter, the Ahrend 360 is also stackable.”
Clipline Designed by Frans de la Haye. A new designed chair in wood and fabric. The design consists of two models: A Lounge (low seating) and the chair (high seating)
Philink Designed by Jeroen Theuns & Caroline Voets. Jeroen Theuns and Caroline Voet are two architects from Antwerp (Belgium) who jointly devised the highly original ‘Ahrend philink’ table. The mathematical ratio ‘phi’ - better known in creative circles as ‘the golden section’ - is at the root of the form of the table top, enabling countless configurations or ‘links’ between different tables. TABLE TOP Bamboo top with: 1. ‘Whitewash’ finish 2. Apple green cover paint 3. White cover paint
Facet Designed by Friso Kramer. The ciranol-topped Facet table has always been as innovative as the Revolt chair, boasting minimum volume and maximum strength. This timeless table gets its name from its bevelled frame, which slants away under the tabletop so you won’t bump your knees - because its Friso Kramer’s view, design must above all be practical. Sheet steel in white, black or matte chrome. Top: Ciranol in white, black or grey.
Move it Designed by Frans de la Haye. The distinctive construction combined with the use of reliable materials gives the table a character of its own. Stainless-steel tubular frame with aluminium corners. Spacers on which the tabletop floats. Big, lockable castors: the Move-it design combines stability and mobility. Size: 150 x 150 cm Movable
Ahrend 460 Designed by Henk Verkerke. The A460 range is a multifunctional range consisting of: - Chairs with and without armrests - Chairs with a low back - Chairs with a medium-height back (wooden, with vertical slots in the back; synthetic, with perforation in the seat) - Chairs with high back (with horizontal slots) - 2,3 or 4 seater bench on a long frame, with an optional table - 75 and 110 cm high tables.
Ahrend 312 Designed by Bas Pruijser. A workshop, a seminar, a presentation, a theatre performance, a meeting, a conference. The Ahrend 312 is the ultimate auditorium chair. A solid, comfortable chair with an innovative design. An ingenious system allows easy linking in rows, making the most of the available depth in the room. Whether writing and listening, active or passive, the Ahrend 312 chair offers total comfort in every layout. With or without armrests Armrests in different colours. Seat and back: wood Seat: fabric, back: wood Seat and back: fabric Stackable Linkable
