The producer discusses the challenges of filming Lions Heading Venice in both Albania and Italy over 5 weeks. Location shoots included the Albanian landscape and seaside, as well as 10 days filming in Italy. Tricky shoots involved adding fog to the seaside and using a hot air balloon. The atmosphere on set was professional to allow the actors' best performances. The director developed strong relationships between the cast through rehearsals. The low-budget film was made possible through discounted locations, actors working for less, and support from the National Film Center of Albania.
