• Ghita Popp has published in Kiev a Romanian publication
entitled "Romania Mare". The history of the Romanian press
should place a publication published in Kiev, one year before
"the Great Union". The newspaper was called "Great Romania"
and was edited by four journalists, among them a brahovean,
Ghiță Popp. The merit of the weekly was to awake the national
spirit in the hearts of the Romanian prisoners in the Russian
camps. The mission was successfully accomplished. His
contribution to the Great Union of 1918 continued, being part
of the editorial team of the reunited Romanian newspaper
"Alba Iulia". After decades of oblivion, The Expres Monitor
presents the story of Ghiţă Popp, the man who has spread the
Romanian word beyond the borders imposed by an unfair
history.
