Raleigh Canada donated 20 bicycles valued at $10,000 to United Way of Oakville. The bicycles will be raffled off at upcoming United Way fundraising events to raise money. Raleigh general manager Chris Enoksen delivered the bikes personally to United Way CEO Brad Park. The donation was a meaningful way to support the local community and bring more attention to United Way's fundraising campaign than a cash donation alone. United Way is grateful for the donation which will help improve the local community.

Raleigh Bicycles Donated to United Way
Donated bicycles to be raffled at upcoming United Way fundraising events.
Oakville, ON. (Sept. 25, 2015) – Raleigh Canada supported United Way of Oakville today with a
donation of 20 bicycles to the charity’s head office.
Raleigh Canada general manager Chris Enoksen shook hands with United Way of Oakville CEO
Brad Park after he personally unloaded and handed over the bikes. According to Enoksen,
Raleigh is happy to support its community with a more meaningful donation than cash.
“Those bikes will bring much more attention and sales to United Way’s campaign than a large
cheque would, and at the same time twenty lucky riders will get to enjoy the top-notch quality
and craftsmanship of Raleigh’s products.” Enoksen said after the donation. “It’s a win for
everyone. I’m very proud to support local causes and give back to this wonderful community.”
Priced at $500 each for a total of $10,000, the bicycles will be raffled at future events in United
Way’s fall fundraising campaign and are estimated to at least triple their retail value in sales.
“I’m delighted. We’re all grateful for this donation. It’s very gracious of Raleigh” said Park. “This
is what United Way is all about: bringing ordinary people and local businesses together to make
their community a better place.”
United Way Oakville’s campaign began on Sept. 15 with the fifth Annual Bus Pull Challenge and
will include events like the upcoming Let’s Paint the Town Red restaurant competition. For
