The Grenada Football Association mourns the passing of former sporting icon Oswald Clovey of Victoria, St. Mark. Clovey made contributions to both football and cricket as a staunch defender in football and a fearless fast bowler in cricket. While he was feared on the field, he lived a simple life as a loving individual. The GFA President extends sincerest sympathy to Clovey's family, especially his wife and daughter, during this difficult time of bereavement. Grenada has lost a sporting hero, father, and icon with his passing.

The Buckhorn Springs Golf and Country Club underwent renovations over the summer including replacing greens and tees, changing roughs and outer greens, and fixing facilities. The renovations were completed and the club reopened in time for Labor Day. Several dedicated club members were seen manually removing weeds from the fairways on a warm September morning as they wanted to help the club. The fourth hole was also renovated and is considered the club's signature hole.

21st December, 2015 Chanti Cup in Full Swing
Expired Sea Coconut, Pluto, and PG United finished at the top of their zones in the round robin stage of the 2015 Chanti Cup tournament in Grenada. Sixteen teams participated overall, up from just six teams four years ago when the tournament was revived after a ten year hiatus. The knockout quarterfinal round will feature the top two teams from each zone and the top two losing teams. The Chanti Cup tournament provides a platform for young footballers to showcase their skills while also identifying talent for the local Chantimelle FC club. It also drives socioeconomic activity in the village for three months out of the year.

There will also be a brief Snowmobile Club meeting at lunch in the woodshop and a meeting for Concert Band members at the start of lunch in the music room. Girls interested in ball hockey can attend an informational meeting on Wednesday at lunch in Room 203. The ENVIRO SHSM field trip that was postponed is back on for March 4th with the same details. Both parties agreed to meet again soon to continue their discussions.

GEORGE-It is with regret that the Grenada Football Association received the sad news on the passing of a former sporting icon, Oswald Clovey of Victoria, St. Mark. We in the football fraternity know too well his contributions in both football and cricket. Clovey made his name as a staunch defender and a fearless fast bowler and though on the field of play he was feared by many, he lived a simple life as a loving individual. As President of the Grenada Football Association, let me place on record our sincerest sympathy to his family especially his wife and daughter, Oslyn Crosby who also served as GFA's Marketing & Communication Officer for a short period. On behalf of the entire Grenada sporting family and the Grenada Football Association in particular, we extend best wishes to his family during their period of bereavement. Grenada has lost a sporting hero, father, family man and icon in the village of Victoria. We will all miss him dearly.
