Holesome Donuts, a Northeast doughnut company, plans to build a $100 million factory in Repton, Alabama to expand their operations in the South. Construction on the 300,000 square foot facility will begin in April 2015 and be completed by October 2016. The expansion will create 350 permanent jobs in Repton and stimulate the local economy. Holesome Donuts hopes to sell their pre-packaged doughnuts in grocery stores initially and later open franchises and shops across the South.

combined $19 million in annual revenue—nearly
double the parent company’s revenue.

kind of fulfillment that would get them excited
about coming to work—and sticking around.
Soon after, Tim started exploring how Tasty
could generate more revenue from its kitchen,
which sat unused 16 hours a day. Online, he
found an open request from several school
systems for 800,000 muffins that would meet
certain dietary restrictions. He submitted a bid
and won, but Tasty’s ovens weren’t big enough
to handle the job. So he suggested buying new
ones that would cost $85,000.
Instead, his father and uncles decided to
invest the money in a company, T.F. Processors,
that is owned jointly by the four Walters with
Tim serving as CEO. Today it bakes muffins,
breakfast breads and cookies for private labels as
well as for Tasty, has 18 employees and generates
some $2 million in annual revenue.
Pritscher started That’s Caring in 2008.

Walter, Tim’s sister, to launch nuphoriq, a
marketing agen.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 19, 2014 Contact: Clarke Jacobs, csjacobs17@verizon.net P: 626-824-4704 Holesome Donuts Set To Build $100 Million Factory in Small Southern Town WILMINGTON, Del — For the first time in the company’s history, Northeast doughnut company, Holesome Donuts, has made the decision to expand southward and construct a state-of-the-art $100 million factory in Repton, Alabama to compensate for the expansion. Headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, Holesome Donuts has twenty manufacture plants and associated stores scattered around the Northeast and Midwest. Several states in the South were scouted as the home for the future 300,000 square feet, multimillion-dollar plant. Groundbreaking is scheduled to begin in April of 2015. The construction of the plant will be completed by October 2016. The company’s expansion will occur in two phases. The first will include the sales of pre-packaged doughnuts in grocery chains. The second phase will be the selling the opening of franchises and eventually individual doughnut shops in the South. The doughnuts will be sold in Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. All legal hurdles have been cleared between the doughnut company and the town of Repton. “We have been taking all the precautions necessary to make sure our new plant is community friendly and environmentally sustainable. We are working with LEED certified architects to make sure the facility is as eco-friendly as possible,” said Holesome Donuts CEO Lonny Joe Underwood. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the current unemployment rate is 12.5% and the unemployment rate for the entire county, Concecuh County is 11.3%. The expansion hopes to add 350 permanent new jobs in Repton to Holesome Donuts’s current 2500 person workforce. In addition to the new jobs, Holesome Donuts plans to pay taxes and stimulate economic growth within the town including the development of local businesses. “We have nothing but great confidence that the company’s investment in not only their own company, but also in our town, will benefit both Holesome Donuts and Conecuh County immensely,” town mayor Terri Carter said. Founded in 1930 in Patterson, New Jersey, Holesome Donuts serves as a reputable doughnut company in the Midwest and Northeast. Their pre-packaged doughnuts are made with first-rate quality ingredients and top-secret recipes that trace back to the 1930s.
