Un'importante funzione del programma è data dalla possibilità di lavorare con più "livelli",
permettendo di gestire separatamente le differenti immagini che compongono l'immagine
principale.
GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) è un software libero per la creazione e modifica di
immagini digitali.
È utilizzato principalmente per la realizzazione di loghi ed operazioni di fotoritocco. Oltre a
ridimensionamento e ritaglio di immagini, permette di effettuare fotomontaggi, conversioni tra
formati ed animazioni (ad esempio in formato GIF).
Viene spesso utilizzato come sostitutivo del programma commerciale Adobe Photoshop, più noto
per il suo uso in ambito professionale, per la modifica e la stampa di immagini digitali (anche se
GIMP non è un clone di Photoshop).

7. Paint (chiamato anche MS Paint) è un programma di grafica semplice, fornito assieme
a tutte le versioni di Windows, il sistema operativo commercializzato da Microsoft. È

Questo programma permette di aprire e modificare immagini con formato BMP,
bitmap, JPEG, GIF, PNG, e TIFF.
Le versioni più vecchie di Paint non permettono di aprire immagini PNG, ma
solamente JPG, GIF, TIFF, con un filtro grafico per ogni formato.
Microsoft Excel è un programma prodotto da Microsoft, dedicato alla produzione ed
alla gestione dei fogli elettronici. È parte della suite di software di produttività
personale Microsoft Office, ed è disponibile per i sistemi operativi Windows e
Macintosh. È attualmente il foglio elettronico più utilizzato.
