2. That Increasing using
has negatively effects on
there academic
performance, mental
health and social
engagements
Social media platform use amongst
teenagers have increased
according to a study by Canadian
University Dubai “Around 69.7
percent of UAE students use social
media for five hours or more on a
daily basis”.
3. Reducing on
there Academic
Preformance
Most of the parents agree that there children
are getting reduced on their academic
performance. Further they get distracting and
time-consuming because they just spend hours
on social networking sites, ignoring their
studies. For example most students spending
hours chatting, exchanging information, sharing
photos, videos, that they can spend in
completing homework or understanding the
subjects. The parents should be more awer
about there children future.
4. Teenagers mental
health while using
social media
Increasing using have doubled the effects of
using social media on their mental health. As
Clinical social worker Jamie Dieterle said "it has
a higher risk mental health issues such as
depression, anxiety and loneliness”, also they
said that many schools need to approach the
issue on organic way, that could be difficult with
a generation gap. They recommend the parents
to monitor there kids when they’re on their
devices and set limits. Whatever when they
going to sleep right after spending time on
social media that may caused a lot of issues
such as physical stress and depression that will
increase to get other issues.
5. Social media
effects badly on
teens behaviour
There is many kids that be afraid to take a
conversation face to face because they see it hard
for them to think and argue on the same time. That
increasing makes there emotions more harder to be
expressed by the other people whom talking with.
Zachary Feliciano Found that “A third of teens (34
percent) agree either strongly or somewhat that
using social media takes away from time they could
be spending with people face-to-face, and 44
percent agree at least ‘somewhat’ that using social
media often distracts them from the people they’re
with when they get together in person,”. They
suggest that phones should not be used while they
are with friends, family and teachers, it may helps
them to improve there social life skills and they know
how to argue with other people.
6. That increasing usage will effect
negatively on teens Academic
performance(whose spend hours on
social media sites), Mental
health(Spending a lot of time on social
media platforms strains the eyes,
reduces mental focus and
concentration ) and Social life(They will
had harder time to argue or talk to other
people in the real life). Moreover that
increased using will have more issues
on their future life, so that the parents
should try to do something that may
helps there kids to less using the social
media. The parents may talk to them
and explain for them how they may
avoid large using and encourage a
bedtime routine to avoid the social
media use.
