With increased internet usage, particularly new discoveries of more educative websites that are rated children-friendly, internet become an educational tool. Children are able to ensure the knowledge necessary for expansive learning. Internet presents avenues for visual learning as young children are attracted to diagrams, images as well as photos that are academically designed to empower and enhance learning. This has presented the children with an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge as they learn and develop ability to navigate and do research work at early stages (Resources in Education 76). The result of this is reflected in the academic ability of the children as they grow based on the increased capability to understand search engines needed for particular data retrievals. Such children further develop interest and become good researchers in the future as they undergo the education ladder. They become brighter as they explore the massive relevant information from the peer-reviewed articles as well as books.
Internet is a great tool for children to learn more not only for academic success, but also for self-improvement. Many educative websites allows kids to get help for their schoolwork. One example would be Mathway, a websites that solves math problems and explain the answers. Grammarly is another website that helps students to fix their grammatical errors. Internet also helps students to improve themselves in many different ways. There are many tutorial videos on YouTube that can teach kids many different skills.
Internet is an important instrument for children to gather new information. It is also positive for the foreign students as internet has enabled them to use Google Translations to understand English. The Internet and Social Safety among Elementary Kids
Internet and social media usage become inevitable and
beneficial for children in every aspects of life. Children have
subsequently been exposed, entertained, educated as well as
socialized by the internet. As the world becomes more
digitalized, more researches are done in order to determine
whether or not the internet is beneficial for children. Even
though many researches that are conducted on the effectiveness
of internet and social media usage have shown that there are
more advantages, there are still considerable negative sides. In
this essay, I will attract attention to increased utilization of the
internet and social media among the kids can groom them if the

With increased internet usage, particularly new discoveries of
more educative websites that are rated children-friendly,
internet become an educational tool. Children are able to ensure
the knowledge necessary for expansive learning. Internet
presents avenues for visual learning as young children are
attracted to diagrams, images as well as photos that are
academically designed to empower and enhance learning. This
has presented the children with an opportunity to gain valuable
knowledge as they learn and develop ability to navigate and do
research work at early stages (Resources in Education 76). The
result of this is reflected in the academic ability of the children
as they grow based on the increased capability to understand
search engines needed for particular data retrievals. Such
children further develop interest and become good researchers
in the future as they undergo the education ladder. They become
brighter as they explore the massive relevant information from
the peer-reviewed articles as well as books.
2. Internet is a great tool for children to learn more not only for
academic success, but also for self-improvement. Many
educative websites allows kids to get help for their schoolwork.
One example would be Mathway, a websites that solves math
problems and explain the answers. Grammarly is another
website that helps students to fix their grammatical errors.
Internet also helps students to improve themselves in many
different ways. There are many tutorial videos on YouTube that
can teach kids many different skills.
Internet is an important instrument for children to gather new
information. It is also positive for the foreign students as
internet has enabled them to use Google Translations to
understand English. Children have also benefited from diverse
knowledge and skills available on the internet sources besides
being positively enlightened through games played, which has
led to generation and incubation of relevant ideas (Dixon,
Brian, and Julie 122). Children have found it easy to navigate
the personal computers and to obtain necessary project
information necessary for their class works.
Digitalized education allows teachers to easily follow children's
performance online and to make rectification. Besides, children
have benefited from such interactive sessions as they developed
a higher degree of creative and critical thinking in order to
deliberate and contribute to particular discussion topic (Watkins
176). This information gained is helpful in the social
development of these children. Internet has presented educative
sites that are children-focused, and thus there is increased
awareness on how children should conduct themselves morally
either online or when undertaking regular chores both at school
and homes. (not parallel)
Internet has also facilitated the communication and interaction
of global friendship, which is beneficial for integration of
children. Social media allows children to make global
friendships, which creates global harmony and unity. Students
have made valuable friendships on global perspectives. This has
built a global village and created unity to the kids through the
3. interactive platforms availed in the social media. (Different
topic) This ensures that the sensitization is made on a global
perspective, and future reduction on the manipulative activities
of the unscrupulous internet users.
In addition, children grow as they learn through their parents on
how to deal with the scammers and fraudsters at early stages.
Hence they are groomed and grow up as visible individual,
ready to rationally counteract immoral activities that have
characterized the internet and the social media. This interaction
has positively affect the children to problem solving based on
increased exposure to challenges of internet and social media.
Academic fields have also benefited as students become
digitalized and they can apply ICT (Information and
communication technology) in teaching that has enhanced
educators and scaffolding teaching methods.
The use of internet and social media presents significance
avenues to expand the entertainment by children. Entertainment
plays an important role in the cognitive development of
children. The internet and social media platforms present
valuable entertainment items that help children to develop their
interest and skills. Many children grow up having identified
whatever careers they want to pursue. Entertainment industry
draws attention of many children who not only become
entertained, but develop their talents and may in the future
become significant artist. The internet and social media have
also groomed children through entertainment that are attached
to educating children on the moral behaviors. (You should focus
on the entertainment itself, not the industry because one in a
thousand people becomes an artist)
This has culminated into rational thinking generation who
explore the knowledge and particular themes attached to such
entertainment item. Children's talents and innovativeness'
ability have increased based on the internet. Children come up
with counteractive measures to deal with their strangers who
intrude into their accounts. They have opted to contact their
parents mostly than teachers in getting solutions to their
4. problems. Children have developed intense understanding of the
precautions when online. They have blocked strangers and have
realized the need to the morality act online just as offline.
Despite the massive benefits attached to internet and social
media utilization among the children, it should be limited as it
has adverse effects such as addiction and sexting. With respect
to sexting, children of this generation are interconnected by
means of social media platforms. Virtual communities such as
Twitter and Facebook have surpassed emails in communications
(Bruce 54). A daunting challenge, however, arises from the
problem of sexting. Unscrupulous and immoral teens, are
uploading and sending a text message with children photos
attached, naked while indulging in sexual desires or acts. This
sexting has caused enormous emotional sufferings to the kids as
senders and receivers of such inappropriate pictures which
attract severe court battles leading to punishments and loss of
properties to meet the court fines. While internet has enormous
benefits to children, harmful sides should be considered in order
to create a safe internet usage.
In addition, internet addiction is also harmful to children who
havebeen addicted thus spend a lot of time watching
inappropriate videos, photos and playing games. Such children
lose focus on other essential duties as much time is allotted for
surfing. The trend has escalated making young to look like
machines (Strasburger, Barbara and Amy 78). Many children
have thus shifted away from academics as they get entertained
by unnecessary items that are not appropriate for their
consumptions. Parents have found it quite difficult to help their
children get the best from the internet as they have been very
conservative. In contrast, children would not want their parents
to track their movements. They have thus opted for privacy
demanding such items as smartphones and personal computers.
Most children spend time on social sites culminating to
increased exposure to immorality.
It is noted that besides the vital advantages connected to the
internet and social media, such advantages are counteracted in
5. equal measures with disadvantages. In essence, cyberbullying,
addiction and sexting stand erected as some of the
inevitabilities attached to the internet and social media sites
amongst the children (Bruce 178). Precaution must be taken in
order to encourage respective parents to protect the children
strictly by filtering or privacy settings as well as educating their
children to remain moral in social sites and internet (Cole 19).
Parents should discourage children from accessing, listening,
viewing or watching inappropriate and harmful images, music's,
videos or pictures in order to remain moral.
