The document summarizes the results of full-scale tests on bored belled piles in subsiding loessial soils of Ukraine. Static load tests were performed on piles both in compression and tension in naturally saturated and artificially saturated soils. Numerical simulations using PLAXIS software were also conducted. The tests and simulations showed that artificial saturation of the loessial soils caused subsidence under dead weight and reduced skin friction on the pile, lowering the bearing capacity. The numerical models approximated the behavior observed in the full-scale tests reasonably well.
This document discusses a study analyzing the bearing capacity of bored belled piles in subsiding loessial soils under dead weight. Static pile load tests and numerical simulations were performed on test piles in loessial soil in Ukraine. The simulations showed that soil saturation around the piles reduces soil cohesion and internal friction, decreasing pile capacity. Comparison of test and simulation data found a 5-8% difference in predicted pile settlement. The study concludes the tests and models can effectively predict pile-soil interaction and pile behavior under a range of loads.
This document summarizes a study on modeling negative friction forces on pile foundations in loess soils prone to consolidation. It discusses European and Ukrainian design standards, previous research, and a case study modeling test pile behavior using PLAXIS 3D Foundation software. The study aims to clarify methods for incorporating negative skin friction forces resulting from soil consolidation, which can reduce pile capacity. Numerical modeling is seen as a way to better understand pile-soil interaction and deformation over time compared to physical testing alone.

13. Загальні висновки:
з отриманих результатів, значення додаткових сил за чисельним
моделюванням становлять 37.9кПа, а за нормативними розрахунками
ДБН склали 16.2кПа, що майже в 2 рази більше;
при випробуванні палі в природному стані ґрунтів, її несуча здатність
склала 250т. При замочуванні водою ґрунтової основи зверху несуча
здатність палі зменшилась до 175т ( тобто на 30 % ), а при замочуванні
водою знизу, несуча здатність палі склала 109т ( зменшилась на 56 % );

замочування просідаючої основи буроін’єкційної палі знизу вверх
являється більш небезпечним ніж замочування зверху, і ця різниця
склала 26%.
