2. After having spoken to the chief examiner about
permission for both using Italian as the language in
the coursework video and adding English subtitles to
accompany it (as it fits into Netflix's genre
conventions as a globally available platform), I
researched into how to create good subtitles.
Here is what I learned:
-To not use more than two lines per subtitle
-When there is a subtitle longer than 42 characters
(roughly 12 words), break it into two lines
-21 characters per second is ideal
-Make the writing legible and the font not distracting
enough to take away from the video itself
