Village development projects in communities generate income that is used to develop the villages and conserve the environment through forest and wildlife initiatives. Any surplus funds are saved in a community fund to finance further developments like building customary courts, post offices, public toilets, and community and school halls, as agreed upon by the entire community. These projects also employ community members and contribute to celebrations, while providing infrastructure and accommodations that improve people's lives.

• Some of these protects are also used for
environmental conservation, for example forest and
wild animal projects and others.
• The surplus raised is then saved in a community
fund which is used in other village developments
that would be identified and agreed upon by the
entire community.

the customary court (Kgotla), the post office, public
toilets, community and school halls and many
others.
