A Cinematic Journey through Visual
              Effects
          By, Don Levy
How he captured the audience
         attention
• He started off by referencing a famous Film
  maker.
• Then also talking about motion pictures and
the way they can fool the eye, bringing up
things that would grab peoples interest.
• I personally like how he had clips from films
and also behind the scenes footage of how
  they made it.
Audience Engagement

• Over all there was not much audience
engagement have a visual effect lecture he
used more picture slides and video clips to
  keep the audience involved.
Ted Commandments
• Thou Shalt Tell A Story
  – He did this best by starting from the beginning of
film and bringing it to present.
Dynamism

• I would rate the speakers dynamism at a 3.
Why

• I feel he could have involved the audience a
little, more most of his presentation was
  pictures or video clips
Learning From the Presenter

• I learned having good visual support will keep
your audience interested and help understand
  what your talking about.
What I would do differently

• I would have gone into more detail about how
visual effects are executed and not so much of
how they have been used in the past and
  present.
The Difference

• The difference between the presenters was
how they told their story. In Ken Robinson’s
speeches I felt he had more of a sentimental
  connections then Don Levy’s speech.
Classmates
• Always remember good visual support can
help your audience understand what your
  trying to explain.
