The excursion plan involves taking students to the Sydney Living Museum where they will participate in hands-on activities like gardening, cooking, and playing 19th century games. Students will learn about what life was like for the wealthy Wentworth family who lived at the estate by exploring the grand house and pretending to be servants. They will see how daily tasks were done without modern conveniences and make comparisons to their own lives today. The excursion will provide interactive experiences linked to the history curriculum. Transport will be via bus, train or ferry, and ratios of 1 teacher to 10 students will allow up to 45 students per session. Precautions against COVID-19 and the weather will need to be taken.
