1) At the time of Pakistan's independence in 1947, the Pakistani rupee had value with 1 USD equal to 3.31 PKR. Pakistan's population was only 33.7 million. 2) Over the years from 1960-2020, the exchange rate of USD to PKR has steadily increased, showing Pakistan's weakening economy. The population also increased dramatically to over 200 million currently. 3) A weak currency and high population growth rate have disadvantages like a weak economy, poor living standards, and development progress being wasted without control over population. To improve the situation, family planning laws and economic strengthening are needed.

2. PROLOGUE:
 Allama Iqbal saw a dream.
 It came true and as a result of the hard work done by Quaid-
e-Azam , a separate state for the Muslims of the Sub-
Continent came into being on August 14,1947. Which was
named “Pakistan”.
 “The country was founded but its founder died not long
after its creation”

3. Power of Currency at the time of Independence
1947:
 When we came out from under the Crown in 1947,our currency “PKR(Pakistani
Rupee)” had its value.
 Here’s an interesting fact,
 As you see in the picture that , at the time
of independence of Pakistan,
1 USD = 3.31 PKR

4. Population of West Pakistan in 1947
 At the time of Partition , the total population of West
Pakistan was a total of “33.7 Million”.
 Which means that,
33.7 Million = 3 Crore 37 Lakh
 This means that in 1947,we were a country of area 796096
Square Kilometers with a population of only
3 Crore and 37 Lakh.

5. Overview of the Currency rates over the
years 1960-2020:
• As shown in the graph , the
exchange rate of USD to PKR has
been increasing since Pakistan came
into being. If we notice the elevation
in the graph , we can clearly state
that , since the creation of Pakistan ,
our economy has been going down
the hill.

6. Overview of Increase in Population over the
years 1950 to 2015 and onwards:
 The Graph below show the

 We all can notice that there
is a relative increase in the
population.

7. Current Situation of Currency:
 If we talk about the value of currency , our Rupee has very
less value in the world.
 Its reason you ask? Its reason is the weak and below average
economy of our country which is due to incapable
leadership.
 If we want our currency to regain its value in the world , we
have to make our economy strong.(To be frank , which is not an easy thing)

8. POPULATION 2020
 As we know that according to the 2017 Census of Pakistan,
the total population was 20 Crore without including the
population of AJK and Baltistan.
 We can compare the facts that in 1947 the population of
Pakistan was about 3 Crore and in 2017, the population was
about 20 Crore . A random guess can prove that it would
have definitely increased in the last three years as well.

9. DISADVANTAGES:
Following are the disadvantages of having a weak currency and a higher population,
 A weak currency means weak economy and weak economy means weak country and weak
country means poor and desperate population.
 We can see that Currency value , Population and Condition of people are Interconnected.
 If one thing is weak , the other one falls weak too and like this everything goes down the hill.
 Another disadvantage of overpopulation is that ,
 “IF A COUNTRY DEVELOPS--------WITH A STABLE POPULATION-----IT
SUCCEEDS…….BUT……IF A COUNTRY DEVELOPS--------WITH A POPULATION THAT IS
UNCONTROLLABLE…..THEN ALL ITS DEVELOPMENT IS WASTED”

10. CONCLUSION:
 After undergoing all the facts , it can easily be stated that
OVERPOPULATION and DEVALUATION OF CURRENCY are no
doubt the worst problems a country can face.
 And to be honest , our country is facing both of them.
 To save our Nation, Laws of Family planning should be
implemented in our country and economy should be made
strong so that the people can have a better future.
