Larry Page is an American computer scientist and internet entrepreneur who co-founded Google along with Sergey Brin in 1998. He grew up in a family of computer experts and showed an early interest in technology and business. After graduating with computer science degrees from the University of Michigan and Stanford University, Page began researching how to make web searches more efficient with Brin, leading to the creation of Google. Google quickly became the world's dominant search engine and made Page very wealthy. He remains involved as CEO of Google's parent company Alphabet, which through Google and other ventures continues to pursue ambitious technological goals.
