Georges Remi, better known by his pen name Hergé, was a Belgian cartoonist best known as the creator of The Adventures of Tintin. He was born in 1907 and began his career by creating The Adventures of Tintin comic strip for a Belgian newspaper in 1929, which became a worldwide success and popular franchise. Hergé continued creating Tintin comics until his death in 1983, producing over 20 albums that have been translated into multiple languages and adapted into other media such as films, television shows, and video games.
