This document presents the objectives, hypothesis, methodology, results, and conclusion of a mini project studying how much money students at UPSI spend per month. The objectives are to determine if PTPTN loans are sufficient for expenses and quantify monthly spending. A hypothesis is that loans do not fully cover costs. Surveys of 50 students collected data on expenses per semester and month. Most students spent RM2000-RM3999 per semester and RM300-RM499 monthly. Most money was spent on food. In conclusion, students agreed loans are insufficient but help fund their education.

- 5. Objectives • To knowwhether the PTPTN loan is enough for students expenses. • To determine how much students at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) spend their money in a month? • To be able to apply the scientific method while doing this research.
- 6. Hypothesis The loan fromPTPTN are not enough to support student’s expenses because the cost of education are not affordable to everyone.
- 7. Methodology • Interview Short interview is done to get the overview of the research. • Survey We conduct a survey on how the student manage their money in a month. The survey was conducted in student’s hostel. • Questionare The questionare is distributed among the student around the campus. There is 50 sheets of questionare that have been prepared.

- 10. • Bar chart1 shows student expenses in a semester. • 14 of the students spend RM2000 - RM2999 • 20 of the students spend RM3000 – RM3999 • 10 of the students spend RM4000 – RM4999. • 4 respondents spend about RM5000 and above for whole semester.

- 15. • 62% ofthe students spend most of the money for food. • 18% of the students spend most of the money for study. • 12% of the students spend most of the money for students needs, like toiletries and cloth. • 8% of the students spend most of the money for outing.

- 17. Students agreed thatthe loan are not enough because PTPTN do not fully covered their expenses. But having PTPTN loan helps them much in pursuing their higher education.
