This document provides information about planning and paying for health care needs in retirement. It discusses the rising costs of health care and long-term care services. Some key points include: a couple retiring at 65 will need about $240,000 on average to cover medical costs throughout retirement; 1/3 of people turning 65 will need at least 3 months of nursing home care; and the average daily rate for a private nursing home room in 2012 was $248. This document provides information about stretch IRAs, including:
- A stretch IRA is a strategy to extend the tax-deferred growth of IRA assets by distributing them over a beneficiary's lifetime based on their life expectancy tables.
- Required minimum distributions must be taken from traditional IRAs starting at age 70 1/2, but these distributions can be spread out over many years, allowing the IRA to continue growing.
- The main options for beneficiaries of a traditional IRA are lump sums, 5-year distributions, or life expectancy distributions stretched over the beneficiary's lifetime.
- Proper beneficiary designations are important for achieving stretch IRA goals and ensuring tax-efficient distributions over generations.
This document discusses making important decisions about pension income at retirement. It may negatively impact future financial security if not considered carefully. One must decide between maximum monthly income for life alone or reduced income with survivor benefits for a spouse. Federal law requires a joint annuity paying the spouse at least half the benefit. However, this reduces the primary beneficiary's income for life. Alternatively, one could take the maximum income and purchase life insurance to provide funds to the spouse upon death, allowing control over benefits. The document provides examples and checklist for analyzing risks and establishing a retirement income protection plan.
The document discusses estate planning considerations related to unwanted heirs and the federal estate tax. It notes that upon death, assets may not automatically pass to loved ones, as unwanted heirs like taxes may claim a portion. Life insurance can be used to pay estate taxes and costs, protecting more from passing to these heirs. Several case studies and tables show how estates of different sizes may face taxes and shrinkage without proper planning.
Important societal developments have their impact on the employer-employee relationship and consequently on recruitment. This presentation aims to paint a picture of those developments and provides a framework which could help to develop modern-day tools e.g. by leveraging the power of social media to stand out on the talent market.

before his arrival in Rennes.
It is very important for us to co-ordinate our
teaching with any previous training as this
increases the efficiency and effectiveness of our
work.
We will endeavour to arrange contacts with local
business, politicians, charities, non-
governmental organisations, and local or
national government departments.
This is a very important part of the training as it
allows the student to understand the political,
economic and cultural differences in France.

order to optimise the training.
We have been involved in publishing teaching
material and are regularly involved in overseas
projects.
10. We have links with local government administration; and have established an interesting
network which allows us, during the course, to introduce the students to French professionals
from a similar background and to arrange contacts with politicians, local/national government
departments (conseil régional, général, municipalité, administrations) in order to provide them
with means of understanding the political, economical, social and cultural environment.
Langue & Communication
We prepare these meetings (language, questions, briefing on the company, etc…) but are
purposely not present at the encounter.
12. Langue & Communication
This is arranged in the house of a carefully selected family, on a half-board basis
during the week, full board at the weekend.
We try to match the host family to the student's interests and profession when
possible.
The house is comfortable : single room with private bathroom when possible.
The hostess will take care of the laundry. An evening meal is served every day,
and offers the opportunity to become involved in French "way of life". During the
weekend, the host family organises outings to "discover" the region.
The host family offers the ideal environment, in which the student can
communicate in the French language exploiting the skills and confidence that the
course will generate.

JA, UK Representation to the European Union, Brussels, FCO.
« Merci mille fois !
