IKASLAN BIZKAIA is the Association of Public Vocational
Education and Training centres across the area of Bizkaia,
with highly qualified teachers whose main objective is to
provide quality education tailored to the current labour
market needs and concerns, and at the same time, manage
the personal growth of its students.

Mission
IKASLAN through its directors pursues excellence in its
schools:
- Acting as the interlocutor with the government and other
stakeholders.
- Sharing experiences and collaborating among partners
Vision
Being a public network of vocational training centres and
recognized socially cohesive as a benchmark for training
and employment

5. AIM OF THE ASSOCIATION
One of the actual aims of the organization is the
establishment of international relations with VET centres
around the world, but more concretely in Europe.
IKASLAN is nowadays carrying out Leonardo da Vinci
funded actions for teachers and for students, and is trying to
build up a European network of VET centres with the
following objectives:
• Exchange of best practices (learning from each other):
(TOI, DOI)
- new learning/teaching methods/strategies
- ways/relations with public bodies
- ways/relations with industry (employment of students)
etc.
• Programs for exchange of teachers (VETPro)

IKASLAN in Basque Autonomous Community
IKASLAN is form by VET centres divided in 3 geographical
areas as it is divided the Basque Autonomous Community
(Basque Country region in Spain):
